Valentines Day Fiasco I preface this review by stating my husband and I are both POC/LGBTQ to give viewpoint of the horrific experience at this location on Valentines Day 2021. We visited this location for a nice lunch as we frequent other Applebee's locations with no prior negative experience. After entering the restaurant my husband and I waited approx 2-3 mins before even being greeted at the door. This was shortly after a snowstorm and so we thought maybe there are staffing concerns so no problem. Eventually, the lady from the bar comes over to greet us and at that time we provide our number of guests (two of us) and a request for a booth if available. She immediately responded stating there was about a 10-15 wait time due to capacity issues per the state's COVID restrictions in place. This was no problem and we stated we would wait. I asked if we could wait inside which she allowed but was hesitant. I then went to the restroom, and upon returning she signaled for us to come to the bar area if we had our ID which we did. At this point we are appreciative for the accommodation and no longer having to wait. The seat is a high table (for two) about 4 feet from the door. After we place our drink/appetizer order (all within 5 mins) 2 older white individuals entered the restaurant and were seated immediately, no wait. Now, it was another waiter that seated them so while we were certainly feeling some type of way we thought maybe there was a miscommunication between the bartender host and the other server. Immediately after (not even two mins had passed) 4 white individuals came in, the bartender rushed over grabbing menus as she approached the door and immediately seated ALL FOUR, in a booth. Now, at this point something had to be said. We spoke with the manager who initially seemed to have made excuses for this less than exceptional experience instead of owning the issue. We requested to cancel our entire order prior to any food being brought out. The bartender never even made eye contact after this which was enough confirmation for both my husband and I that this was intentional. While the manager eventually compensated for the experience and attempted to make it right, this was a horrible feeling and completely ruined our day. That server/bartender should not continue to serve people if she cannot accept all people. I will never visit this location again and before anyone step foot inside this restaurant please keep that in mind. ALL ARE NOT WELCOME! I would have preferred to give zero stars if possible but due to the managers attempt at the end to correct the issue I give two but that does not change the prejudice we experienced by the employee at...
Read moreI came here last week and got a few drinks with friends, no problem. Last night my co workers and I attempted to come here again, but my valid government-issued ID was completely denied by a guy named Antonio I've never seen before. I have been using this ID at Applebees since I started going 2 YEARS AGO. I should definitely be considered a loyal customer by now. He looked at my ID for a long time and said he couldn't accept it because the corner was peeled a tiny bit. What?????? I'm sorry????? I was here last week???? And my ID is literally accepted everywhere else? None of this made any sense to me. Never in my life has my ID been denied before. My friends and I thought this guy was kidding at first. All we wanted to do was get drinks and food after work, we were all starving. We were completely thrown off by Antonio and his supervisor Paul, it was an example of some of the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. This establishment is displaying how inconsistent and unprofessional they are by accepting my ID last week and not accepting it last night when it looks completely the same. It isn't right at all. Antonio even had the nerve to ask, "You've never heard of this before?" And my friends and I all said no. Applebees completely let me down last night. We got up and went over to Twin Peaks a minute away for amazing customer service from more friendly bartenders with excellent food, then we went to another bar in SODO for drinks and dancing. It started to become a great night as soon as we left Applebees. Every single place that I show my ID every single day to excepts it quick with NO PROBLEM, except for APPLEBEES TUKWILA. Paul and Antonio were complete let downs and disappointments for me. My friends and I told everyone we met last night all about our horrible experience at Applebees, and we will all continue to tell our friends, family and co workers about this. The funny thing is, I bet if I went back to Applebees today and got help from a different bartender, I would be accepted no problem. Applebees Tukwila is a complete joke, and Antonio is in the top 5 of worst waiters I've ever had to deal with. This will sure be an odd story to tell everyone in the...
Read moreThis Saturday I had the pleasure to go in to apples bees and have a meal the food was awesome. While sitting down I heard a gentleman say I pay my accountant 200 dollars an hr. I felt hurt and sad because its a restaurant where the average meal cost 16.50 or 2 for 25. I wanted him to know that the most important thing in this world is his soul. And that the world survives from reciprocity. One of the things about life is that we have to remember to appreciate our family's that's where true wealth lies at. The only reason you pay a C.P.A 200 dollars an hour is to figure out a way to shelter finances or move things around through investment or because they know the loopholes that alot of people dont know or in properties which is known as a depreciation or accelerated depreciation. Alot of the people in that resteraunt just Wana enjoy they're meal. As i say now as I did then the billionaire and the poor man are the same because they both cannot buy time. If God blesses you to be able to have great wealth make sure you bless others and give back. Always stay humble never be arrogant or prideful. You can't have that much pride in a recession that is coming. Always make sure that you make you're money honor God. And the answer to life isn't do you Wana know how you can make a bunch of money ?. The question is how can you make someone else's life easier. If we don't have community wealth and empathy always our obituaries will be short. Also we should remember that we need God as much as we do in our best days as we did in our worst. Our integrity should always mean more then money. There is a saying put a group of people in a room with an idea they will figure out how to make money. Put a pile of money in a room and they will figure out how to get in and lock the door behind them. I hope you choose compassion and love above all. Tony brooks jr owner of t.brooks quality...
