WILL "NOT" RECOMMEND RED ROBIN'S DELIVERY SERVICE AT ALL!!!!!
I had a TERRIBLE experience with SOUTHCENTER RED ROBIN and their DELIVERY SERVICE on 07/28/21.
I ordered the food (with their planned delivery service) and had it delivered to a local hotel I was staying at on business. I was hungry and took a chance in having it delivered. I thought I could trust Red Robin in the delivery part of it. I was "WRONG". The food came out to the hotel, opened and the bag NOT stapled at all. There were NO safety stickers/staples keeping anything shut. The driver could have, and I believe, did get into the fries as the extra fry container looked low on fries. Each of the containers inside of the bag were not protected by any seal or staple, NOTHING AT ALL. Everything could have been gone through. The bag had NO staple holes in it at all... it was NEVER sealed. Somebody that has no skin in the game had FULL access to my food!!! ABSOLUTELY unacceptable and disgusting. Especially with COVID 19. I have no idea if the driver (a younger looking/non trusting looking) was safe or if his fingers were clean if he dug into my food.
POSSIBLY GETTING "SICK" FROM CONTAMINATED FOOD IS NOT AN OPTION FOR ME.
IF RED ROBIN CAN NOT SEAL THE FOOD CONTAINER OR SEAL IT ENOUGH TO PROTECT THEIR CUSTOMERS... IT SHOULD NEVER BE LEFT TO A MIDDLE PERSON TO DELIVER.
Here is why I decided to write the review..
I have been eating at Red Robin for approx. 30 years. They opened up in Bellingham, Washington at Bellis Fair Mall in the later 1980's I believe. I have eaten there since they opened that store. infact, I have eaten at many of their locations throughout the years. I have GUARANTEED spent tens of thousands of dollars eating at there establishments. After having this experience I called into their customer service and left my name, phone number, and the issue I had. I asked them for a call back. I NEVER RECEIVED ONE!!! They seem to not care too much (or at all) about what happened. I went into the store to sit down and have lunch on 07/29/2021. After eating, I decided to talk with the store manager, very nice man. I explained to him what happened and that I was very unhappy. Not only did I get my food (WIDE OPEN bags and containers, unprotected), that I also threw it away and missed out on dinner that evening. I also told him that I had called the Red Robin customer service number to explain the situation (left a message) and had no response back. I let him know that my family, friends and I have been VERY loyal customers for decades. I have never had anything delivered except pizza and that this was my first time venturing out in this newer delivery era. He asked for and I gave him my contact information. I explained to him I would be writing reviews on-line if I didn't hear back from Red Robin. He said they would be giving me a call soon. NEVER HAPPENED!!!
ALSO: as I sat there and had lunch, I sat by the ladies that were getting the delivery bags ready with food. (The manager said that they had moved away from sealing containers quite a while ago.) For over two hours I saw them put one staple on each side of large bags that left the HUGE center wide opened for a BIG hand to go into and feed from. Non of the containers going into the large bags had seals on them. To me, this is VERY UNSAFE and I can not recommend ANYONE having ANY food delivered from Red Robin. I will NEVER have it delivered...
Read moreTHIS PLACE IS THE WORST!! They are always under staffed. We watched while dirty tables went uncleaned. No one to take our order, NO one to clean our dirty table, until we went to the hostess, a half hour later, still no one to take our order. once our order WAS taken, they just kept bringing us fries, because no one in the back, was able to make our order, because they were so far behind. Now, Just tried ordering online, the driver sent to pick up the order calls me. "they haven't even started your order or received it online. You should call and cancel it he says, so I do. The manager says, I don't even have a record of your order, because their tablets are down, but coincidentally, she can read me "word for word' what my order is. You need to call DOORDASH, I can't do anything, because I dont see your order, I just read it off his cell phone" I try to contact DOORDASH, which is no help, but in the mean time I get an email from DOORDASH, saying my order has been canceled and my charge refunded, but it will take 5-7 business days. Really??? for an order that can't be seen or even recognized??? now it is canceled, because I told Red Robin, I would never order from them again or go there again. VERY INTERESTING. Red Robin burgers are delicious, I will go there again, BUT I WILL NEVER GO TO THE SOUTHCENTER LOCATION AND WILL NEVER USE DOORDASH(THEY ARE THE WORST, IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS AND WANT TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK) and now i am sitting here VERY HUNGRY and VERY PISSED OFF!!!!!!!!!..... ADDENDUM.... I just thought about this..... I called and spoke to a manager... She knew what the problem was and what my issues were, she read me my order (word for word) but apparently, couldn't see it in their systems, cause their tablets were down, surprise, surprise.... At NO time, was there an offer of, I am SORRY, obvouisly there has been a mistake, WE will take care of this, come down, we will comp you for your hassle, WE WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT! Nope, not Red Robin, call DoorDash its their problem. Uhhhhhh, NO Red Robin, It was your mistake to make right, and you didn't. Read moreSuch a bummer to see what’s happened to Red Robbin. Not just this location, but each one we’ve been to in the last 5 years. Feels like a once a year deal and always leave disappointed and SAD?
For this particular outing, we we were sat right away into the extreme white lights of the dining area where you felt as though you were on an operating table only to be ignored by the flurry of staff walking around. After about 15 minutes our waitress came through. We were all cued up at that point, to have a good time, and to shot our order right into the kitchen directly behind us where it must have been pirate night based on the clashing, banging and salty talk. I’m all for it, except maybe not with the small children one who was a bday boy I might had. Maybe he liked it? I didn’t ask.
Food came out at a pretty decent time. That was the last of seeing our waitress for the next 20. Drinks were as dry as….Another waitress at one point cruised through to ask us if we needed anything as she could see the desperation in our souls. Asked for a refill on the bottomless option, yeah we went with the broccoli so what!, she said sure! Another 15 minutes or so goes by and our waitress said it was almost up! We asked for some boxes and said we are done thanks. Those eventually came after they must have made a quick trip to the Container Store.
Oh yeah- and the food! The beef should be the show- but man these dang burgers are not good but they do smother them in delicious accoutrement so you don’t notice it as much.
Fun fact: the couple sitting near us after about 10 minutes complained when their, also our, waitress arrived finally to say hey! She calmly told them she had other tables too. I wanted to be like listen guys we’re one of those tables and she ain’t got time for us either! The place was maybe a 1/3 deep.
