Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Tulsa

I attempted to visit this establishment and encountered a series of concerning issues. Upon arrival, I stood by the host stand for approximately 2 minutes without receiving any greeting or assistance. Eventually, I had to navigate the restaurant myself to find a seat. An individual without a name tag or uniform directed me to a different table, about 25 feet away from where I had initially sat down.

Notably, this person didn't provide me with a menu or cutlery, and the table wasn't prepared when the server eventually arrived. This left the server with the task of obtaining a menu and cutlery, which should have been handled by the staff member who redirected me to the new table, though the interaction was somewhat impolite.

Additionally, the atmosphere within the restaurant was less than welcoming. There was loud country music playing, and cigarette smoking was allowed in the bar area. To my dismay, while all the other tables with white patrons appeared to be well attended to, I, as a black man, received no initial greeting. It took an extended period for anyone to approach me.

The situation worsened when the only black server among the eight employees was called over to serve me by the team of seven white servers who had earlier made eye contact with me but didn't acknowledge my presence at the host booth.

It's important to note that the restaurant was operating at a very low capacity at 11:30 in the morning on 10/15/2023. This led me to believe that they didn't value my patronage. I found this experience deeply disappointing and, given the year, believe that such treatment of black individuals should no longer occur. In this case, both the patron and the server were subjected to improper treatment by the restaurant staff.

This experience raised concerns of covert discrimination from the white staff towards black patrons and team members. Unfortunately, these actions were overtly obvious to anyone experiencing such treatment. I came to enjoy some wings and watch football, not to write this review. Regrettably, my experience has left me feeling compelled to share my experience in the hopes that change can occur. I walked out let the server know my concerns, and chose not to eat...

My wife and I went in on a Saturday night. The entire place was crowded and there was a long wait for a table. So we sat at the bar. There were a lot of beers on tap but the beer I wanted was tapped out. I chose another beer and was happy with it. The bartender was working extremely hard all alone behind the bar. She served the entire bar. We ordered food and everything was excellent. We spent the entire evening there and watched the NCAA tournament Our tab was more than $100. We paid with our debit card and left a tip in cash. A couple of days later, we found the bartender had added another $25 to our tab and tipped herself very well. The manager agreed to pay us back, but it still hasn't happened and it's been a week.

My wife, one of my adult sons, and I visited tonight for dinner. We had an amazing server named, Mina. She took care of us and made sure we were very happy. Our drinks were full most of the time, our order was taken when we were ready, and the food arrived hot. There was a table of what I assume were regulars in the bar area, near the jukebox where we were seated, because the bartender and a few of the waitresses were hanging around the table a lot. At one point one of the men in the group stood up to adjust his pants and his ENTIRE butt crack was exposed to me and the rest of the bar room. That was very unsettling to look at, and I was not thrilled to see that. A couple of times during the night a toddler ran through the bar room screaming, while an adult chased closely behind. At one point during the night, Mina was tied up in the kitchen, and my drink was empty. I walked up to the bar to order a drink. I was unhappily greeted by the bartender. I made my order to her disdain and walked back to my table. I watched the bartender for a while after that, and noticed how she never smiled at any customer, and acted completely angry to be there. After we spent nearly $200 on food and drinks, I made sure to tip Mina healthily and give $0 to the bartender. After this experience, I think this may be my last visit to this place. So last night was the very anticipated Canelo VS Munguia boxing match. In the past I’ve gone to BWW to watch him fight. I must say I was extremely disappointed with BWW in its false advertising in luring patrons in to spend their hard earned money!! In this day and age everyone is really watching their nickels and pennies. I called BWW and asked were they showing the boxing match? I was told yes! And nothing more. There was also a UFC fight going on…. Ok? So when it came time for the Canelo fight, there was no sound! And trust me there was a lot of upset customers. So I approached a manager who blew me off. Another gentleman asked me are you trying to get them to turn on the sound? I said yes! He said this is absolutely ridiculous! I found the manager and she said it was being shown as promised, but it was a silent fight. Ummm excuse me? She said they were contracted for UFC and had flyers and it was posted that the Canelo fight would be silent!! Ummm No Mamm!! Show me!!! Well she couldn’t!! I told her you guys lured us in here under false pretenses to spend our money. Under the guise we’d be able to fully enjoy the fight!! I want to be compensated!! So she agreed to pay for my food but!! I guess when she saw what we ordered she turned on the sound instead. But we missed the Mariachi’s, we missed Canelo’s entrance and Munguia’s entrance! It still wasn’t satisfactory what BWW did!! They should have told every customer that called and asked about the Canelo fight all the facts!
