One Star – Wish I Could Give Zero
Walked into the Tulsa Hills Chipotle, and before we were even in line, the guy behind the counter hit us with a super warm, inviting: “What do you want?” No “hi,” no smile, just straight to business like we were inconveniencing him by showing up at this restaurant during its open hours.
My mom, already over this man’s attitude, said she’d like black beans. He then locked eyes with her and scooped… pinto beans. Why ask if you’ve already decided her fate? This was a grown man mind you. I know kindergarteners who can tell their colors of beans better.
Then I tried to use my free Cinco de Mayo queso reward, but apparently no one working there had heard of Cinco de Mayo or queso or maybe even Chipotle itself. I showed them the actual promo and got the classic “let me get someone.” That Someone showed up to confidently tell me the coupon was invalid (on 5/3… even though it said 5/3–5/5). He also told me I couldn’t use the coupon on a burrito bowl. Sir, I literally just asked if I could use the queso coupon for queso. Not once didn’t I mention a burrito bowl.
We also asked for drinks, which apparently was too much. The employee, channeling their peak customer service, wordlessly pointed at the chip reader. Only time she spoke? When the card didn’t swipe. Inspiring stuff man.
The whole place looked like a health code violation waiting to happen. Tables were gross, floors were sticky. Honestly, it’s a blessing they ignored my drink cup request because all of the clear beverage dispensers were empty. Even the ice looked almost as tired as the employees.
In conclusion: this location must be holding their employees hostage because nobody seemed willing to cooperate. If they are not being held hostage I very sincerely hope they are all making minimum wage. Honestly, if you told me that entire staff was part of a hidden camera prank show, I’d believe you. Would not recommend unless you enjoy existential crises with your burrito bowls...
Read moreThis is by far the worst location in Tulsa. The young lady at the counter rolled her eyes 3 times when talking directly to her. When asked to exchange the bowl for my wife because she could not eat the protein selected initially. It was very spicy and had a bad flavor to her. The same cashier rolled her eyes and stormed off. Her attitude alone is the primary reason we will never eat at this location again. They have ruined the franchise for me and I will never step foot into another Chipotle. The management staff, while made the exchange was also very rude and condescending in their tones. When I asked another employee if the store was on Google reviews, she very rudely stated, "Aren't all restaurants on Google Review?".
That is the first issue, the second is exactly like the other reviewers have stated. The tables, floor, and back counter were discusting. I had to wipe food off the table we were eating. There were at least 5 or 6 employees and only 4 or 5 tables with customers. I certainly hope the owner of this franchise starts vetting their employees a bit more. The attitude is uncalled for, regardless of how the employee feels about whomever they are speaking to. This is how businesses fall apart and shut down.
If you even consider eating at this location, trust me, drive a little futher. There are really good locations, just not this one. If there were a negative rating, it would be as far down...
Read moreThis is by FAR the worst Chipotle in Tulsa. It’s filthy on both sides of the counter. Tonight the food building bar was caked with salsa and sour cream and queso. It looked disgusting, but no one even attempted to clean between customers. Additionally, not one table in the restaurant had been wiped in hours, it was disgusting. While some of the employees are young and try to be nice, the management quickly squelches any attempt at customer service. The portion sizes are awful. You pay nearly $15 for a bowl, and the contents don’t even come up to the top of the bowl. I had to ask the manager to give me a full spoon of guac. For an additional $2.75 I expect to get a decent amount of guac. The chicken was dry, and the overall experience was extremely disappointing. If I were the franchise owner of this location, I’d be deeply concerned. I’ve given them 3 chances, but today was strike three. I will drive further if I want Chipotle, as I refuse to subject myself to the rudeness of the management or the filthy conditions. I would recommend you...
