I had given this chipotle 2 extra chances, 3x total, wanting something that reminded me of home. To preface my rant, my visits were timed for off peak hours. The service was obsoletely horrible, it’s 100% the antithesis of customer centric dining. While SOME tables were free of large chunks of food, most are not. And I’d bet the tables that were tidied up, were done so by previous inhabitants, sorry for the folks that have yet to sit at them. Service? extremely unprofessional, and way to friendly towards one another, leaving customers to feel left-out or judged, as my + 1 did after asking a simple menu question. I spent 30 yrs in the corporate world as a bartender turned manager, turned GM of 3 different restaurants. I know what I’m looking for/at. The couple in front of us was met with an argument asking about the price structure of a side guacamole as opposed to getting it on the dish. Nobody there smiled at guests, (that I witnessed). Take that back, staff never smiled except at each other. What’s crazy is the hiring manger, 100% had to seek these people out, as there’s no way somebody could randomly pick a group of people all sharing a negative view of the work they do. I can only surmise it’s a franchise as I doubt corporate would let it continue in their restaurant. Food? Now… it’s really hard to mess up chipotle as recipes are laid out in written form and must be adhered to. The only thing that would bring the food down is if they intentionally withheld menu items. Guess what. I went three times over the course of two months ordering the same thing. first time I was told (after my order) that they were out of dressing for the salad. Visits 2 and 3 I asked before hand if it available, an was told they were lacking ingredients to make it. That’s straight hyperbole. In reality some prep kid, doesn’t like making, or portioning it, so they just don’t make it! Even though it comes standard. The fact it’s a menu item does not concern them, as long as Danny wasn’t inconvenienced having to prep it. (For anyone ordering the salad), the sweetness of the dressing juxtaposes nicely against the spice of the salsas, and creaminess of the sour cream. It really makes the dish. Oh well. The restaurant around Yale and 50 or 60th street has the dressing every time. And the people there seem to have some pride in the...
Read moreI happened to come when they were having some sort of issues with their register and wasn't informed of that until after I ordered and my food was made. No one communicated about the issue for a long while, leaving me and multiple other customers to stand there with no employees around. Everyone went to the back except the one employee making pick up orders. Finally after everyone but me walked out and left their orders, I ask the employee making pick up orders if I can place my order for pick up on my phone so I can just get the food they already made. (Honestly not sure why this solution wasn't offered by any of the employees.) I would have simply left as well but im with my hungry kid who just watched his food be made. I will say that the employee making pick up orders was the one kind employee and she said that wouldn't be a problem. So I place my order. The employees keep all just going to the back so it takes awhile for someone to come back for me to point out that I placed my order for pick up- at this point the registers are working. I am given my order but not the drink I paid for. I ask for my large drink and the employee tells me I paid for a small. This is my mistake of course so I ask, now that their registers are back up, if I can refund the small and get the large and I'm simply told no, they cant since i ordered it online. So I paid for an additional drink when I didn't want two. The lack of communication and offering solutions, and the customer service as a whole was terrible. It isnt employees fault when technology isnt working properly but it should be their responsibility to adequately communicate with customers and offer solutions if they are available. I will avoid this location...
Read moreI usually am pretty satisfied every time I come in to eat at this establishment but tonight just rubbed me the wrong way when I had previously went in before tonight my order was wrong I got the wrong size guac n chips. So I was like I'll go by and pick up dinner and get my guac m chips replaced as promised. However I got down to the part where I order the guac and it is brown like brown from like 4 days brown. I asked the girl helping me was this all they had and she said well it's been sitting out and air geta to it so it turns colors. Okay well I'm not dumb and no guac does not turn brown throughout the course of a day or shift. The shift manager as she was talking to some gentleman while all this was happening and said no we don't have anymore but I can give you an avocado to go home with. Are you serious I couldn't believe what I was told and then to get to the register and be overcharged for my meal and then half of my meal didnt make it in the bag and the only reason I caught it was bc I was still in the store and looked into my bag and noticed my quesadilla wasn't in there so i go back up to the counter and was told oh sorry here's your quesadilla. I will be contacting higher management because that kind of service is unacceptable. The shift manager though went back to her conversation with the man she had been speaking to without problem. I'm glad she was able to attend to much more...
