I went on a Saturday night around 9pm, it was already quite crowded. Therefore, I would advise anyone that if you want to have a table on the patio for the views, you must arrive early on the weekend to secure a seat. Even inside the bar it was an arduous task to locate a place to sit. Moreover, the bar itself is quite small thus it felt quite claustrophobic as more and more patrons began to enter as the night progressed.
I ordered a speciality drink called the communion (not the drink nor wafer given to you for your communion at a Catholic Church). The prep time was quite long but definitely well worth it. The bartender mixed a delicious drink and I was immensely pleased with it.
The reason for the deduction of a star is that the bartenders were quite indifferent, aloof and cold. The bartender who served me did not utter one word to me, not even a "hi" nor a "thank you" when I paid, nor a "you're welcome" when I thanked her for my drink. Perhaps she was a mute, and if that is the case then I apologize...Though I do appreciate that she took the time to mix my drink even though they were overwhelmed with waiting customers.
Overall it is a cool place to stop and get a drink to start off your night and just sit back and converse with...
Read moreWorst experience ever, we hadn't even been in the bar for 3 minutes and the gentlemen(JR) at the bar was cranky and did not want to serve us at all. Very rude in every response even when just asking about drinks to order. Awful customer service and can't quite understand how you can treat your customers that bad. Might want to consider who you have working up there as this is a job to serve others not be rude to people or talk to down to others. When lady tried to make light of the situation and confront him about his attitude, he became even worse and started yelling at her! We were super excited to hang out on the roof top and had a party of 8 which would have brought decent revenue to the the business but he was absolutely unreal and the worst experience ever. We have reported this to Brian(manager) who also was not onsite at time...
Read moreThis rooftop spot at the Indigo Hotel is such a hidden gem; classy, comfortable, and bustling atmosphere on a Saturday night. Went to this place after an event with some friends downtown. What a hidden gem! At the top of the Indigo Hotel in the Blue Dome area, I didn't even know this place existed. It is not just for hotel patrons and is very much open to the public. Indoor and outdoor areas on the rooftop. Top shelf drinks and nice bartenders. We sat in the igloo outside for a couple of hours and it was a great envirnoment. It was a Saturday night and all of the bars in this area were popping, so it was fun to people watch and be amongst the hustle and bustle from way up high. Drinks pretty reasonably priced for a place like this. Upscale, dimly lit atmosphere felt very classy. Lots of people on a Saturday, but not too crowded....
