It's very unfortunate to be visiting from out of town and purposely seek out a black owned business to support and you are received with attitude and lack of focus on your order, because you're constantly complaining about customers walking in to support your business, but it's too close to closing time in your opinion. If the business hours state you close at 3:00, none of us were in the wrong. I understand it may have been a long day, but no one wants to walk into an establishment and be made to feel unwelcome. This effected the whole experience afterwards, as the food was okay, but we really wanted a better experience based on the reviews. I hope no one else has to experience this same attitude when they visit this restaurant. I'm not sure if you turned the fryers off early, but my niece's fries tasted like they just soaked up grease and weren't cooked in...

In town for The Black Wall Street Rally and we are being deliberate with recycling the black dollar. We had read about this restaurant and decided to stop in for lunch. Its small inside and only has 3 tables therefore dining in might not always be possible but it worked out for us. We both ordered catfish, and it came with 2 sides each. We had Potato Salad, Fried Okra and Macaroni. The catfish was seasoned well and picture perfect. It was fried a little too hard for me but hubby likes it fried hard. All of the sides were tasty. We had enough food for lunch/dinner. I took away 2 stars from atmosphere because they don’t have cups nor ice nor straws which forces you to drink your soda pop straight from the can. Would definitely return if/when we decide to indulge in fried foods again. ...

My first time ever visiting and while I wasn't impressed upon entering the small cafe, yet me and my husband decided to try it anyway and after tasting the food, even though the food looked ok Definitely never again, the sweet potatoes tasted as if the were out of a can dumped a lot of season on then and cooked until they were mushy and the macaroni tasted as if had garlic in it or just plain sour and the chicken no season what so ever basically worst soul food I have ever eaten and a waste of my 38$. Left the whole plate except for the pork chop, it was the only thing that I ate off the plate and the strawberry cake was just ok Definitely Will not be returning. The only other One plus thing was the young lady at cash...

Always say yes to sweet Lucy's! Cute restaurant w an open seating area and to go. Tons of choices for veg and main entres. We ordered 3 PC catfish w greens and grilled broccoli, and a veg plate of yams, Mac n cheese, okra, and peas. They should've warned us about portions... They were huge! Catfish done perfectly w a fried cornbread coating. Broccoli did not disappoint: grilled w onions or butter? Not certain, but delish. The greens were beyond good, slightly sour w pork(?) Mac n cheese for s never a favorite, so not sure. My spouse liked it. Yams were sweet and not overcooked. Don't ever forget dessert. Their cake slices are seriously enormous and well worth old fashioned box cake. Have to go but get there early on a Sunday...
