in the raw vu — Restaurant in Tulsa

This was my first time coming to In the raw. I enjoyed the view, I enjoyed the atmosphere. Even the food was pretty good. I was referred from a good friend of mines & she had talked so highly of this place. Mind you this was my first time trying Sushi but it sucks to say this will be my first & last time coming to this place. I felt uncomfortable and most importantly unheard. I came in with the intention of trying drinks and having a good time celebrating my 3 year anniversary with my husband. With that being said I changed purses before I was picked up for a more classy look for my outfit. I was running late so I didn’t double check for my actual ID. Instead I grabbed one of my expired ID’s and I didn’t see it until I was already seated and after I asked to order a drink and I was declined. With that being said I am 22 years old. After being declining I respected it and accepted the fact that she was just trying to do her job. Because I definitely understand, I wouldn’t want her to get In trouble. So when she came back she gave my husband his drink and he asked me if I wanted to take a sip just to try it. And I responded and said of course . So that’s what I did moments later I heard the bartender by the name of Clare (which was my waitress)say that she just seen me take a drink of his drink and she “was going to watch me the whole time to make sure I didn’t take another sip . Mind you it didn’t matter that she said that , But it was the fact she said it loud enough for me to hear it all the way from my table . After that she watched me so hard I asked her if we could change waiters so we could avoid any more conflict she responds talking with her hands aggressively telling us that we have to pay first before we move tables in order to change waiters, then we have to go back to the front to make sure she has tables available. Mind you it wasn’t that many people in here to begin with so I felt like it was uncalled for . But we still followed instructions and did just that. Before we left she handed us are ticket with an nasty attitude. So we moved on the side of her still by the bar & I seen the manager so I asked to speak with him about the situation. I started off saying that I wasn’t trying to be difficult and I understand that I was in the wrong for me to take a sip of my husband drink and It definitely won’t happen again but it was the fact that she said what she said to a point of where I could hear it. And was very aggressively acting when it came to tending to me. And as I was trying to talk he cut me off repeating what I said after I said something basically mocking me trying to disregard how i felt about the whole situation. Telling me and talking with his hands “ she is just doing her job “ and I was in the wrong for doing it because I don’t have my ID Saying it very aggressively. So I told him that really felt like that you don’t care about how I feel and it just feels one sided especially after i told him I felt uncomfortable that’s the whole reason on why I wanted to move tables. So basically deal with being harassed and talked about and disrespected as a first time customer. So my husband just told me to let it go & the manager walked away. Moments later the manager went back to the waiters and kept talking about the situation the whole time looking back at me and so I would know that I was being talked about the whole time as I ate my food. As a woman black woman I felt disrespected and my feelings were hurt. I will never be...

Very nice restourant, very good location and very good view. They have a big balcony and the atmosphere is fine. I guess the atmosphere depends from the time and day. I was there during the day, after lunch. I ordered some calamari and they tasted so good. I wanted to try some sushi since its a sushi restaurant, but i was not so excited about it. I ordered 3 kinds and they were fine , but I think they can do better, or maybe was not my day. Lol. Prices are decent and fine , considering the location and the view, but they do need do change the couch covers or change it to different material because they are SOOO dirty and people need to sit and eat there. That's all because those tables are not very comfortable for eating. I saw people put their feet on the table ,literally everyone of them , like relaxing.. , and than they put the food and eat. Come on. And because it's so low they end up holding their plates like they in the front of their TV home and of course they gonna spill . The guests that are on the tables , eating nice food ,enjoying the view ,they don't want to see someone feet on table across of it , or under someone's skirt. Servers were ok , but the management need to put some code about the feet and server's nails and hair. Way to big nails for a server (like 2 inces) , and they need to tie the hair . The restaurants is way to good for this...

Night started off with a rude hostess. We had reservations at 9:15pm on a Friday night. Due to the drillers game we had a hard time finding parking so we called the restaurant and let them know we’ll be 5 minutes late. The girl on the phone was rude, and all she asked was what time were going to be there. Once we got to the restaurant there was a long line to get in, group my group people were let in. Once we got up to the hostess she couldn’t find my reservation. I told her we were the ones that just called and let them know we’d be 5 minutes late. Right off the bat she got defensive and said “we don’t take same day reservations.” I pulled out my phone and showed her my reservation for 9:15pm. No apologizes no acknowledgment of our reservation she just handed us off to another hostess to get seated. Once seated, it took a minute for a server to come greet us. There was an empty table to the right of us as well as behind us. We started off with miso soup which was amazing. Then came the sushi and the disappointment. I ordered the spicy combo and the first bite I had was just a mouthful of wasabi which made me tear up. The rest of the rolls were subpar and had no flavor. The sushi was not worth the money.
