I’ve been alive 69 years, 7 months and 6 days. I claim to be an amateur “foodie”. I traveled the USA in territory sales over 25 years. Every town and city I traveled to I had my favorite local spots that I returned to over and over. Since I was in elementary school I’ve loved old fashioned, grilled hamburgers. Tulsa, TONIGHT I had the BEST hamburger of my life!!! My wife loves them as much as I do. She is even more specific about details she loves about her hamburger. Tucker’s onion burgers checks every box imaginable. Beginning with the Oklahoma sourced prime beef to local sourced produce to the way they create their masterpiece just can’t be equaled. The onions are paper thin and the edges are crispy. The brioche buns are also finished with a crisp edge and juices from the beef coat the top of the brioche buns. The beef flavor is extra special with simple salt & pepper only, so the quality of the beef proves how important it is to source the finest beef money can buy. Tucker’s has created a masterpiece. As we left, my wife said it perfectly! “There’s no reason to ever go anywhere else for a hamburger! We’ve found the best!” There’s a well known real estate agent in Tulsa that has an incredible following as he visits restaurants searching for Oklahoma’s best hamburger among many other food items. I don’t know if he’s been to Tucker’s so I’m suggesting he give them a shot. The only caveat is that his search for Oklahoma’s best hamburger will be over and he’ll need to find another “best”...
Read moreWe’d wanted to try this place for a while because of the enticing smell of the onion burgers when we’d parked in the parking lot to shop at other stores across the street. And because it was a fairly new place, we were excited to try it out. Maybe because of the price we expected better ($43 for two burgers - one single onion with cheese and one double onion with cheese, two fries, and one drink) but to say we were underwhelmed is an understatement. Customer service wise, it was fine - no complaints there. But the actual food was disappointing. To keep it short, it was just bland all around; the burger tasted like it had no seasoning and the fries were thin, overcooked and not even seasoned with salt. The wrapping paper or cover the burgers come in are also too thin; by the time we got our burgers, the wrapping had dissolved and made holding/eating the burger a messy ordeal. Perhaps our disappointment in the food was worsened by the fact that we could not enjoy our meal in peace. As a previous reviewer mentioned, there were gnats everywhere. We thought it might’ve been because we were sitting next to the side door and something came in. But nope. We moved further out and there were still gnats. It was a frustrating experience all around and I hope, for the sake of others, at least the gnat situation is...
Read moreTried the new Tucker's location in Tulsa Hills - first of all, the location is so nice! It's bright and airy, with a classic burger joint vibe in a super clean setting. The patio is gorgeous with vibrant red tables and chairs, a high ceiling, and plenty of shade. The staff was SO welcoming - there was a chorus of "Hiiii, welcome to Tucker's!" as my family came in, which my six year old thought was so fun! We ordered, then sat on the patio to eat. I had a Clucker and it was insane. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the brioche bun was sturdy enough to hold up to the heavy fried chicken, and the breading was golden, crisp, and super flavorful. My youngest had the kid burger and it was still really good size - I'd get that on a less hungry day and still be full, especially with the amount of fries that came with the kid's meal. The lemonade was fresh, too, and you can tell it's real lemonade. My oldest got a single onion burger with cheese and my husband had a Mother Tucker (order that! It's fun to hear the staff when you do!) and everyone was really impressed with the quality of the meat, onions, overall burgers, and fries (thin cut, salty, and delicious.) Tulsa has needed this for a long time, thrilled to see A Good Egg making space finally in...
