Well tonight I just had my worst experience with Denny's ever! First thing I will say is I've been going to Denny's for years and I would always give them 5 Stars I've always had nothing but good experiences! My wife and I decided to go to the new Denny's location in Tumwater at about 12:30 AM. We come through the door and the first thing that happens is the waitress takes us over to be seated at a dirty table which didn't make sense because we walked past clean ones on the way to this dirty one. The next thing this female waitress does is plops our menus down on top of the dirty table. I am thinking to myself you got to be kidding could you at least clean the table first or how about a clean one! We pick up our menus with food particles attached to them and begin to look for something to order. Of course now I've got grease on my shirt my elbows from being on the table. Next the waitress comes back and wipes it off somewhat. We order something to drink I had coffee and my wife had juice. Waitress didn't bother to ask if we wanted water. Waitress comes back with the drinks and doesn't bother asking if my wife wanted a straw so we had to ask ourselves. We both ordered our food. My coffee was gone because it took a long time to get our food so the waitress said she would bring it out but she didn't. When I was almost done eating I decided to bring the cup up to the counter myself and get it refilled. When the waitress brought us our food she didn't bother giving us forks knives or napkins so I had to take it upon myself to get two sets off of another table and bring it over myself. After we were all done eating she comes back with the bread that was supposed to go with my wife's dinner and I said we don't want that now we're done eating you might as well take it away she just leaves it on the table along with the receipt. I just happened to look at her and say what about dessert? She didn't even bother to ask and I told her to forget it like I would want anything else after everything that's already happened. I don't like to use people's names I feel that's going too far I will just say this was a really thin waitress with brown hair a pony tail and brown eyes. Then when it came time to pay of course this waitress didn't bother asking if everything was okay I think she knew better than to even ask! When it came time to enter a tip I put 0 for the first time in my life I didn't leave anything! I've never done that before but this waitress was horrible she obviously doesn't care at all about her job about the customers or what she is supposed to be doing in there. This is not the right kind of work for this person! The food we ordered was cooked really good and there's absolutely no complaints about the cook. Denny's has always been great as I say but in the future I think I will avoid this new location until they get some management down there that gets the problems sorted out with employees! I hate to complain but it honestly was so bad I felt the need to say something! Nobody would have been impressed with what happened to us! Absolutely terrible service! The first thing I did right after I got home was take my shirt off to throw it in the washer because the arms are full of grease and other people's left over food from the dirty table we had to sit at! Maybe this waitress lives in a barn I don't know. She has no place at a restaurant where you're serving customers! You can't sit people down at a dirty table and throw your menus on top of it! I mean come on that was the worst thing she did!! I held my tongue I was about to say something but I knew that it would be pointless to say anything to the employees! I didn't want to make a scene so I just quietly paid my bill and walked out! Completely...
Read moreOh gosh what to say. The customer service was just so delightful and kind and caring. We got our food in less then 30 minutes. I ordered the premium chicken tenders with seasoned fries and bacon cheddar tots. Not a big fan of the tots. They were a little to mushy on the inside. Outside had a nice browning and crisp to the outside. The seasons fries were good. They weren't very unique. Neither were the tenders until. I made a special dish of mine own. At Denny's they now serve a garlic peppercorn sirloin steak. I ask the kind waitress we had named Sarah what was in the butter. She didn't exactly know. So she grabbed two other employees Hunter being one having the tub of butter it comes in. Ask here are the ingredients. are you wanting to know for an allergy? I simply replied no. He then read off soy sauce, garlic and wheat. I was interested. They asked if I had wanted a sauce for my chicken tenders and I replied with yes I would like the garlic peppercorn butter. We had shared a little laugh and she went ahead with the order. Once we got our food I had seen how the butter looked. It didn't look like ordinary melted butter instead like a separated curdled milk. Although it didn't look appealing I went a ahead and dipped my chicken tender in the butter cup and took a bite. It was the most juicy flavorful tender I've ever had. It just hits you with this garlic butter taste and the crispy tender breading made it that much better. I went ahead and dumped the rest of butter onto the other 3 tenders I had left. And asked for a refill on the butter. And I had a thought. I said they need to make this an entree. A Garlic peppercorn buttered premium chicken tender. Or Chandler Tenders for short. Because these tenders are all I want at Denny's. Thank you for reading my review if you made it this far. I highly recommend this dish and...
Read moreSo first off, I stopped going to the Denneys in Tumwater Wa simply because they never get orders right! Today I thought I’d try to give them another chance and again they failed! Originally I ordered 2 lumberjack slams for take out. One regular lumberjack slam and the other asked for no sausage just bacon and ham, country potatoes instead of hash browns and can you substitute a biscuit with gravy instead of pancakes and toast, the waitress said they didn’t have a biscuit and gravy lumberjack anymore and that I cld order biscuit and gravy slam and a side of potatoes, okay, so I went with her suggestion. Assuming everything was to order, I drive home take out the food and discover one complete lumberjack slam and the other order that was supposed to be a biscuit and gravy with country potatoes and bacon and ham ended up being just scrambled eggs, hash browns, piece of bacon, 2 sausage and turkey bacon with a side of country potatoes🤦♀️Okay who’s order is this? This is not what I ordered at all! Call them and explain I didn’t get what I ordered and I’m all the way back home and don’t have the time to come back as I have other engagements scheduled for the day, so what can you do to make this right? she says “well, we can’t do anything about it unless you come back to the restaurant right now! “ Wow first you don’t get my order that I paid $16 a plate for right and you have bad customer service as well, not good! Did she even hear me say I have other engagements to attend today and have no time to come back in today? Again bad communication. The sad part is, they weren’t busy at all as there were only a couple of people in the whole restaurant, so there’s really no excuse other than bad communication and that is an obvious problem all the way around! Needless to say I will no longer be a customer at the...
