Update: 2/16/24 I got a call this morning from Fatima (super kind & sweet lady) I believe she's the manager & if she's not, she should be. She wanted to make things right from my order fiasco yesterday. Not only did she refund the money of my total order but she said to go in anytime & ask for her & she would have my entire order remade correctly. That kind of customer service doesn't happen often these days. I am super grateful to Fatima and will definitely resume my monthly visits to get the best Mexican food around! Definitely check them out, the food is fantastic!
2/15/24 I'm updating my review (original review is below) I called & placed a to-go order. I could barely hear the guy but I asked for a #4 with both items being chimichangas. The guy repeated my order back to me as 2 orders of chimichangas. I corrected him and said no, the #4 is a chimichanga and either a tamale, chalupa, something else or 2 chimichangas, which is what I wanted, both ground beef. I went on to order a taco salad with thousand island dressing and a large chips and salsa. Suddenly he is talking to me about it costing $10.95 or another amount that I couldn't understand and I assumed we were still talking about chips & salsa so I said I'd like the smaller one please (last time we weren't charged for chips & salsa but whatever. We get the food, come home and there is no thousand island dressing and only ONE chimichanga. Not to mention the fact that this chimichanga is about 1/3 the size of the last chimichanga. I call the restaurant, no one answers. So I call back 20 minutes later & explain that my order was wrong. He tells me that the whole $10.95 conversation was about getting one vs. two chimichangas. I don't get why I had told him I wanted 2 two three times, yet he took it upon himself to ask me again at the end of the conversation. I also did tell him at the beginning of the conversation that I couldn't hear him very well. Needless to say I don't think we will be going back anytime soon & if we do we will be going in to make sure everything is understood & correct before we leave. I'm highly disappointed because we had such a great experience last time.
December: The food was amazing. My husband & I both got #4's to go with extra chips & salsa. It was $38 & it fed us 3 different times. We will likely go back once a month or when we have a craving for mexican. I give it a high...
Read morePros: Great tasting meat, almost always near empty so it's a relaxed environment. Cons: Just about everything else. My main issue with this place which is the reason i will not be returning, is that they have a chalk board displayed where you can see it coming in the front door that says "happy hour 4 to 7pm" with a raspberry margarita advertised for $5. When i received my check i was charged $6.25 for the margarita at 5pm and my partner was charged $16 for a double shot drink in some sprite. He also had asked for a lime he never recieved with his drink. When i asked the server why i was charged this amount she told me that it was "not happy hour".... it was 5pm and their sign said happy hour was 4pm to 7pm.. when the main server who appeared to be a manager or possibly the owner came over to address my question he stated that yes it is happy hour but because I was seated outside the bar I would not receive the happy hour price! I asked him why being seated 5 feet away from the bar affected my pricing and he just said it's not his fault and walked away from me. We have been there often enough in the past couple of months (for the laid back atmosphere) that he knows who we are. I told him he lost me as a customer due to this and the past two experiences I had with their servers being unresponsive. The servers are not particularly rude but they are not friendly either and act like you are putting them out of their way if you ask for anything. When I asked my server for a mild verde sauce for my 2 year old to dip his chips in I was ignored until I asked a second server 15 minutes later. Server did not seem happy to help whatsoever. Acted like they were not being paid to be there and be friendly. I work in a restaurant and know how a customer should be treated. I am a very polite and friendly customer as well so I do not see any excuse for the lack of attention...
Read moreMy daughter and I arrived at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. After seating us we were asked if we would like anything to drink aside from water. I asked the waiter (who appeared to be all alone at this time) if the bartender knew how to make a 'real' margarita. He said, "No bartender right now." I looked at the advertisement on the menu about coming in and enjoying happy hour and it began at 4:00. I asked when the bartender would arrive and he said, "5pm." The music playing was low and not normal loud mariachi music, but the television in the bar across the way with a football game was turned up so loudly that it interupted the ambiance the mood music was trying to accomplish. Disappointing... The chips were not the best I have eaten. Crispy, but the oil they fried them in tasted old - yuck!" They only serve red salsa, and in a very tiny bowl - but it was tasty and fresh. We had to ask for three bowls of salsa. We ordered the Tacos al Carbon - steak. Wow! They were the best tasting tacos I've tasted in a long time and I eat this dish anytime it's listed on a menu. Steak was tender and deliciously seasoned, beans were tasty and they serve fresh quac and sour crema. The fact the waiter was seating table after table and waiting on them all alone for the first 35 minutes left us feeling neglected (no refresh on water and napkins or salsa until dinner came.) The quality of the food redeemed them in time for my review... Customer service and the fact they were not staffed at the time they opened is poor management in my opinion... easy things they could fix to make this a great...
