TLDR; around the corner from Teas n' you, sample all the proteins If you're unsure, yuzu Salmon is the bomb dot com, I come here weekly if not every other day.
THEY SERVE SOME PRETTY AMAZING POKE.
Lei'd Poke is located in the same shopping plaza as Teas n' you, but it's around the corner next to Max Jewlers which is next to Next day blinds. Parking is pretty limited so if possible, try to get there not during a lunch/dinner rush or carpool :)!
Ordering here is pretty simple, it's just like chipotle's assembly line! You choose the size of the bowl (Regular or Large), then the base (6 different options and the option to half and half it(half salad & half rice)! Depending on which size bowl you chose determines how many scoops of fish you get! Regular bowl equals two scoops and Large Bowl equals three scoops.
If you ever have difficulty choosing which protein to add to your bowl, ask for a sample!!! When ever I come with people who have never had Lei'd poke, I tell them to sample all the proteins before you pick! Then just load it up! My perfect bowl is half salad half white rice with yuzu salmon and ahi tuna. As for the toppings I get everything including the avocado! (Avocado is extra). If you check into yelp, you get 10% off 1 bowl!
My coworkers and I have officially added this into our lunch time rotations for the week! So I come here at least once a week! Can't wait to come back and try the spam musubis and other...
Read moreFood was pretty good quality and even on a Friday night when it was busy, they move pretty fast. The food is definitely overpriced.
Limited parking, mainly because quarter of the parking lot is reserved for the jewelry store next door.
the raw fish tasted pretty good and likewise with the seasonings and the different sauces. The problem I do have though is everyone who's serving food does not have hairnet or protective covering for long hair other than a hair tie. people who work there who has beards and long hair bangs, did not have it covered up.
I even watched one of them who was breaking down the rice have a fan on blowing at her face and sweat and she took her gloves off to use her phone and then grabbed fresh pair of gloves, which means her hands touch the external part of a glove put them on and proceeded to work with the rice. I did not see anyone wash their hands, and she even picked out a piece of hair and threw it in the trash and continue to work.
I want to believe it was a one time incident but I doubt it. Because it wasn't just one person, it was everyone. The entire culture of how they are prepping food is in question.
DEFINITELY WONT be going back and will be telling everyone about...
Read moreDelicious, fresh, and featuring a very cool vibe, Lei’d is the latest in a series of suggestively-named concept restaurants that turn heads with their signage and advertising then win hearts and minds with solid food. The long benches, sealed concrete floors and high ceilings all speak to a fast casual style, so I came with my wife and young daughter. All three of us ordered different combinations, with mine skewing heavily toward tuna, and the girls exploring less traditional fish options.
Poke is a fairly simple dish, hinging on quality of ingredients and availability of customized options. No worries on either front — the fish was very fresh and delicious, and there were myriad options for making your bowl your own. Bonus points for novel East Asian drink options to complement the bowls.
There are a handful of Poke places in the area, and my only con for Lei’d is proximity to Tysons. Getting in and out is tough, though parking seems reasonable. I’d come more if it meant I got to...
