I've been coming to this Starbucks for the past 4 years and overall my experience has been excellent! This review isn't speaking about this Starbucks as a whole as much as it is speaking about a particular employee. I believe this employees name is Lola(not 100% sure on her name just going off of what I saw from a brief glance at her name tag). Lola needs some very intense training on customer service because she has 0%. I've ordered from her a few times in the past and never receive a hello or a thank you or goodbye when I walk away. But this is no big deal as I am just ordering a coffee and am not expecting an excellent customer experience or upset when I don't get it. It wasn't until a recent incident that I felt the need to write a review on the otherwise excellent Starbucks. I approached the counter to order a drink and got the usual no greeting that I expect from Lola. I order a small coffee then insert my card to pay. Lola hands me the coffee, I pull out my card and walk away. I then hear "umm..excuse me, you need to pay" from Lola. Obviously for whatever reason the card reader didn't read my card correctly so I headed back to the counter, apologized and re-inserted my card. I expected a no problem or for Lola to at least try and say something to defuse the obviously awkward situation. Instead, Lola decided to not even acknowledge that I was there and decided it was a better idea to turn her back to me and continue talking to her co-worker. After the chip reader said to remove my card I asked Lola if my payment had went through to confirm this time around and Lola simply looked past me, totally disregarded my question, and said next person in line. As someone in customer service, I fully understand the annoyance of customers complaining about trivial issues and this is why I very rarely leave bad reviews or complain at all but the way this employee handles customer service is nothing short of absolutely terrible. Either she doesn't care about her job or she hasn't been trained correctly but I felt it was the right move to bring this to...
Read moreWish there was an option for 0 stars. Worst Starbucks customer service I’ve ever had. Just got back from an international trip and It took me longer to get a drink at this Starbucks location than to go through immigration. The time wasn’t the only problem but the attitude from the cashier especially. Every single person that arrived after me got their drink before me as well as were called by their name to claim their drink.
When I purchased my drink the cashier didn’t ask the size I wanted it - first mistake. Then, after asking him a couple of times If he had put my name on my drink I still was not called by my name and apparently my drink was sitting there for a while. However, If the supervisor would like see through the cameras he will confirm I was there the whole time. I didn’t go to the restroom, I wasn’t on the phone, no distractions, nothing. The person who ordered before me, Mr Michael got his drink and for his surprise, It wasn’t the way he asked for. He complained to the cashier as well because they put whip cream on top of the drink when he asked them not to and the cashier asked him If he wanted a refund.
Guys, a refund for a $5 drink is nothing. The worst is the time wasted, my hour is not worth $10. I waited for 30 minutes and nothing. He offered me a refund with an attitude and I told him he wasn’t the one supposed to be frustrated over there. I deserved at least apologies. I left without the drink, after 30 min wait and with the refund and a horrible experience. I’m absolutely never getting a drink from that location ever again. That was absolutely unacceptable and...
Read moreWould give a 5 star but management here leaves much to be desired. As a local, Pike Seven holds a special place in my heart so it pains me to leave a low review. I used to frequent this particular starbucks consistently from 2013-2017. From writing papers, to hanging out with friends or even just a quick stop whenever i had downtime, Pike Seven was like a home to me. What once was my go-to coffee stop however, is now nothing but a shell of its former self. Stopped by recently and I have to say the new look is actually rather impressive. I'm afraid that may be the only good thing it has going for it though. During one of my visits, a (seemingly) new barista seemed to be having trouble locating a specific drink on the register. They called over what i assume to be a manager who was sitting in the corner wearing a black polo. As he made his way to the register he seemed to be irritated as he walked over pouting. He talked down to the barista and his tone was very condescending. When the barista finally found the drink he walked away shaking his head. People make mistakes and I genuinely felt bad so I made sure the barista was tipped well. There seems to be a lack of energy and low morale as the employees seem miserable here. Back when i was a regular there was a homey atmosphere from the cozy fireplace to the pleasant decor; I'm afraid what remains is a bland coffee shop that has no redeeming qualities. With issues like this one can only assume it starts from the top. What happened to the Pike Seven i know and love? Hope changes...
