Shake Shack Pike 7 — Restaurant in Virginia

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars i would. Firstly for 3 people, the total was $65. A singular hamburger with nothing on it was $8, ridiculous. Anyways, aside from the ridiculously high prices for fast food, we order and wait about 25 minutes for our entire order to be wrong. We ordered 2 burgers and 1 chicken sandwich. When our food first arrived they were missing the chicken sandwich, they go back make it and get it solved, additionally, not one but BOTH of the burgers were completely wrong. I ordered a hamburger with lettuce and pickle which even the server confirmed and read out loud. The burger came out with onions cheese and sauce, nothing even remotely close to what I ordered. The other burger was also screwed up but the family member made do and ate it anyways. Meanwhile my burger is now being supposedly remade in the kitchen. 15 minutes go by and still no burger keep in mind this is lettuce pickles and meat, nothing that should take long at all. I ended up having to stand up excusing myself from lunch to stand at the counter and ask several times when my burger would be fixed. Finally, it’s fixed but instead of just fixing my burger they made our entire order again which meant we had double of what we originally ordered, there was clearly a big miscommunication in the kitchen because even the server said “not the whole order just the burger” and then the cook started yelling at him using inappropriate language telling him to just give it to us which broke my heart because the server was really nice and helpful and he didn’t deserve to be treated how he was. Going back to replacing the whole order, by the time my burger was fixed I wasn’t even hungry anymore because I had been drinking a drink and eating a few fry’s while waiting. All of our other food was cold when we got back to our table so overall it was a bad experience and we ended up having more food then we could eat and we didn’t want to waste the food so we took time out of our day to drive around finding homeless people to give the food to which although I was happy to do and enjoyed seeing how happy and grateful the people were, this whole situation could’ve easily been avoided if our order wasn’t screwed up so badly. We also were not offered any refunds or discounts for how badly they messed up our order. Won’t be coming back here and i’m extremely disappointed....

The food was pretty good, although I didn't realize when I ordered the Shake Shack burger that it automatically came with sauce. When I selected, using the kiosk, what I wanted on the burger was a lettuce wrap with pickles, onions, and cheese. I never selected any sauce, so I expected it to be just with pickles, onions, and cheese. But it wasn't. It came with this sauce, and I'm not too fond of sauce on any burgers. So when I returned it to the front counter, they said, "Oh, you ordered a Shake Shack burger with Shake Shack sauce. But I didn't realize that because I didn't select sauce. It came on it anyway. They did remake my burger, but I don't think they were too pleased. The fries were good and cooked to order, and my Kiwi lemonade was also delicious. My mother's burger was good, and she had a root beer float that she loved. Service was okay, although when it indicated that my food was ready, I expected it would come directly to the table, as I had ordered. But when it didn't, I went up to retrieve it. It was several minutes between when the text came through before I went up to the counter, and by then, if I had waited until it was delivered to my table, it might have been cold. This is the first time I've been in this Shake Shack location, and it was nice inside, where we sat and ate our food. They also have a nice outdoor area. Suppose it's nice and warm to eat outside. I will probably go back at some point...

They're still charging for refills. Go buy a soda at the nearby 7 11 and bring it in. Wild people making decisions. Their other location doesn't do this.

Edited addition: I left five stars before but I lowered it to three now because I just saw a group of employees in uniform smoking weed nearby. What anyone does on their time is their business but getting high at a job dealing with food is a public health risk. I will be contacting the health department about this, expect a visit.

The food is good, but the fries are small for $5 and sodas are $4 with no refills. $4 for a soda with no refills is wild. If the fries had unusual and good seasoning that made them special, they would be better for the price.

You should buy drinks at the 7-11 in the same lot and bring them in because $4 for a small soda with no refills is way too much.

The service was perfectly reasonable. Ignore the guy who complained about an employee eating while there. He was probably on lunch and there's probably a policy against eating with competitors while on lunch or in uniform.

The ordering kiosk applies a tip automatically. I can understand the desire for regular customers to tip one or two dollars per visit, but automatically applying a tip and hoping customers won't notice is questionable. Tipping ultimately hurts the employees and needs to go away. Business should pay their employees instead of trying to get their...
