Wow am I disappointed with the food and services at this Captain D's, located on Jonesboro Road in Union City, GA. I spent approximately thirty dollars on pick-up food that was totally inedible and should have never been prepared or sold to any customer. After reporting it to the manager, an explanation was given to suffice the condition of the food and its presentation. Apparently their freezer door had been ajarred the night before causing the food to be thawed out unintentionally. Although this caused some inconveniences the next day, they still cooked the food and sold it to the customers. My chicken fingers and fish were burned to crisp, the Talapia was grilled fried , if there is such a process, to the point of it giving a glazed appearance of wax; too hard to digest. The rice was very hard and overly salted and could not be eaten. The reason the grilled Talapia plate was in such disarray, meaning all over the place, is because they had run out of the regular serving trays and used some without compartments. Once the food started moving around there was no end or stopping place. Only the middle portion of the baked potato could be prepared to eat because the inner sides were overly baked and stuck to the inner walls of the potato. Only the sides of broccoli and corn were edible. I was told to return with the receipt to be compensated, however after returning I was informed that nothing could be done at the servicing store. I was encouraged to return to where my online order was placed to receive my money back or the food. Although the food was ordered on line, it was picked up at the restaurant by my husband. I feel betrayed and robbed, especially after conferring with the manager who worked the next day and hearing her say that the previous manager had no business telling me that the freezer had been opened the night before. Why would workers at this food place want to conceal information that could hurt or be detrimental to their customers? I am now in the process of trying to retrieve my money. I am sorry I sought to patronize Captain D's and got such poor service and satisfaction. This had not happened...

I swear I could've prepared and cooked everything from scratch faster myself (1 deluxe platter). The first time here, after 5 minutes, I decided not to wait because the line was backed around to the front. 2nd time, I should've pulled away then too. I waited 10 minutes (7:30 at night) then was 2 cars away from the drive-thru speaker. I'd already invested 10 minutes so I didn't want to leave. Waited another 12 minutes before my order was taken, then another 11 minutes before I got my food. Now, when I pulled up to the window, they confirmed my order, (thank you) and then another person came to the window after I paid and asked me what I was waiting on (her exact words). As for the food, at least they got my order right and the food was good, except one piece of fish was soggy because there was no lid on the sides and it soaked up the green bean juice (from her handing me my bag with the plate sideways). They gave me plenty of sauces, which I appreciated, but I won't go here again with all this. Comes down to poor service, no sorry for your wait or even a thank you, just taking their time and one employee was on her phone leaning on the counter. From the moment I approached the drive-thru, it was clear that the staff was not focused on customer service. The cashier, a heavy-set woman with red hair(I couldn't see her name, and I don't want to think that all workers their is this horrible), not only got my order wrong but seemed disinterested in addressing my concerns.
When I asked for some sauce to accompany my meal, she came up with a series of excuses as to why she couldnāt provide it. It felt like she was more interested in her phone than in helping customers. Additionally, when I inquired about my military discount, she again made excuses and ultimately denied it without any valid reasoning.
Itās disheartening to see such a lack of professionalism and customer care. I understand that everyone can have an off day, but being on the phone while customers are waiting is unacceptable. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their service. I wonāt be returning...
