We stopped here for a weekend lunch and I was excited that my lunch companion would have her first experience with Filipino food. I very much enjoy this cuisine and love sharing the happiness whenever there's interest. Unfortunately, the food was quite bland and uninteresting (we had the grilled bangus and kare kare, halo halo for dessert). The rice and garlic fried rice were good. The fish was also fine, but the kare kare was very bland. I asked for bagoong and the server brought us the tiniest to-go cup with less than 1/4 teaspoon filled in it - also not very tasty. The service seemed inexperienced and unconcerned about us as patrons. Our orders were received wrong twice. We had to ask for water three times and finally just went and asked for a pitcher so we could serve ourselves. The atmosphere was calm and quiet for a nice meal... until about 15-20 minutes in when the TV was turned on to some variety show (?) at a volume that made it difficult for us to have a conversation.
