Lulu poke — Restaurant in Union City

A really good place to snack!!! I suggest visiting if you are ever in the area. I got a bowl with salmon, white rice, kelp salad (doesn't taste like much but it's so cute!!), edamame, cucumber, chips, cilantro, and lemon ponzu. I demolished that bowl... also, we picked up macaron sandwiches. Pretty pricey for how tiny they are (pictured in my hand), but they were so cute and tasted good enough. Nice!

Update: went again and I asked if their chips had sesame. Two people told me no (one even went into the back to check). Got home, ate a few bites, and immediately broke out into an allergic reaction. This stuff can kill people!! I called after I took my medication and the guy on the phone immediately said only two things on the menu had sesame, some sauce (?) and the chips I explicitly was told were sesame free. I got a verbal apology and that was it. Please be more...

Great price for the amount of proteins you get. They have a large variety of sauces, I suggest the spicy mayo with sesame oil drizzled on top after being mixed. The fish is usually fresh, towards the end of the night it's a little less but still tastes fine.

Employees are usually very friendly with smiles. Many of them are super quick so you won't send up waiting long.

For COVID, they don't allow inside or outside dining, but you can easily go to your car and enjoy there. They give you a big bowl and napkins and still offer soft drinks or bottled drinks.

Bathroom is for employees only, but there's a Smart & Final across the way that you can run to if needed.

Update 1/25/2021: I have been coming here regularly and I feel like the food quality & service is either a hit or miss. Sometimes the workers seem like they are skimping on ingredients, especially the scoops of seafood for my bowl, which I am paying a double digit price for. I'm less likely returning here if the workers are going to skimp on ingredients for bowls which costs a double digit price.
