Recoleta Argentine Bakery-Cafe — Restaurant in Union City

I discovered Recoleta bakery from "too good to go." For $4 we got about 8 pastries, while day old it was absolutely delicious. We ended up staying in to eat a few pastries. We got beef empanadas, which were warmed up and decent. They used the microwave to warm up, which I think would really make the empanadas amazing if it was toasted up in an air fryer, especially with its pastry shell. I got an Americano which was well made, and tasty, they use good quality coffee. The women who served us was super nice. In a case on the counter there were 2 cake slices, I had asked about it, she pointed to one and said "this one is fresh." I told her I will take a slice, she picks out the biggest piece for me without me asking. She was nice, warm and provided good service. The slice of marble pound cake was tasty. Today we went for breakfast. I was overcharged. SHOCKED to say the least that I was charged $4.25 for a little ham & cheese sandwich that was laying on the display window. I was also charged $5.00 for another small Turkey sandwich with 1 thin strip of lettuce and 1 thin strip of tomato that were also on display. The cashier, Liban charged me as if I had ordered a sandwich that is prepared in the back. I remember going before and having the same little ham and cheese sandwich and the owner had charged me $2.00. I spoke to the Owner, Cesar, who tried to justify the overcharge and clearly he knew it was wrong. He did not offer a credit nor did he apologize. I will NEVER enter this establishment again. Customers beware of the overcharges. They serve you with a smile, take your money and kick you out the door. Recoleta Argentina - you left a bad taste in our mouths. ...

I went in for take out. The young lady behind the counter ignored me for a while. She and the other young woman were busy talking to each other and making googly eyes at the young man waiting for his order. I apparently was standing at the pick up rather than the order section (not that she bothered to tell me). Then when she finally took care of me the other young lady was touching her hair and also grooming herself. She then took out a comb and was combing her hair. Ugh. When I told her that she shouldn't be coming her hair she gave me a look like I was an alien. Unfortunately food was great but service horrible. I'm sure this would not have gone on if the owner...
