Waffle & Bubble — Restaurant in Union City

This location is shameful compared to the others. They have a horrible staff that refuses to answer the phone, close the store over a half an hour early, and sit on the counters where they seemingly prepare or at a minimum at least place food which in my eyes is incredibly unsanitary. Although the location appears nice from the outside, that couldn't be further from the truth as it appears that whoever was working at the time I had gone hadn't even bothered to clean. Maybe that's why they need to close down much earlier than not only they're Google listed hours, but the hours listed right on their front windows. I've never been left so frustrated and disappointed by a place I tend to like the food from. I usually go to the Secaucus location, and now I can understand why. This location is a shameful disgrace with terrible staff, unsanitary conditions, and overall provides an awful experience. I'd hope that it would be a one off situation that I had experienced, but judging on the staff. I'd argue to say it's probably the standard. Especially the man that was there. I do wish I had gotten his name because had it not been for him and his incredibly rude, disrespectful, and distasteful attitude. I probably wouldn't have been left so frustrated and annoyed by this experience. My only words to anyone thinking about going is the following. The Secaucus location is less than 10 minutes from this one. Do yourself the favor of just going there instead. My words for this specific location would be the following as well. Got delivery through Uber Eats. Buy one, get one free chicken sandwich.

i ordered one ranch parmesan, and the other was Cajun honey with a side of fries. They ended up sending me two Cajun honies and no fries. Not a great start.

Portion size was on the small side, but what I still consider acceptable. Very thin piece of chicken.

The quality of the chicken was not great either. Couldn't tell if it was overcooked or perhaps cooked earlier in the day and reheated for my order. Very tough, chewy, and stringy.

The flavor of the sauce was decent. Not too sweet with a good amount of heat. Would have been way better with an actual juicy piece of chicken. The breading held up pretty well against the sauce. Stayed relatively crisp despite being covered.

On a positive note, there was an orange slice and a piece of pineapple with each sandwich. Great touch and very nice palate cleanser.

Overall I was pretty disappointed. Most likely would not return or recommend. There are way better chicken/sandwich spots in JC. No Forks Given is a great and consistent spot...

Wow! This is definitely a hidden gem!! The people that work there are amazing!!! Especially the young lady in the front! She was taking phone orders, taking customers orders while making drinks and serving the food to the tables....she's worth her weight in gold!! Very professional and friendly!!! The food was amazing!!!! The prices are good. (You get what you pay for) they go along with the portions. The decor is great...lots of light and inviting!! If you're in the area and are in the mood for something different this is the place to go. Korean fried chicken or if you want a refreshing bubble tea or a real frappuccino...all in one spot and they take there time not too long or to fast.
