I’m extremely upset with the service that my family received today. We typically visit this location 1-2 times a week. The food was good for the most part other than the fried tomatoes being a bit mushy.
We are a family of four. 2 adults and 2 small children (whom get upset after waiting for some time). The problems started when I left the table to take my son to the bathroom. When I got back I was made aware by my spouse that the server had came to the table and told him our bill total but had no bill in hand expecting him to pay just off of what she stated the total would be. He told her that he would need to wait on me. Once I got back to the table she immediately came over and told me the total and wanted me to pay I told her I needed the bill and she said that she had accidentally cashed it out already. I told her i would happily pay when I saw the bill and she said she would have to get a manager to get it for me. Ok no problem I’ll wait. When she brought me the bill the total seemed off and when looking at it I noticed she had rang in the wrong item for one of our meals and that’s why it was higher than expected so I pointed that out to her. She apologized then said she would have the manager fix it. When she came back about 5 minutes later with the second bill it was even higher and had a whole bunch of extra items that wasn’t ours on it and I told her again that was not our bill. She immediately said another server had put items on our bill and caused the whole problem which didn’t make sense for two reasons 1. When our apps were brought out by the manager he started to take them to the wrong table because our server put them at the wrong table and 2. When she brought it the first time the only thing wrong was one item. She stated she would go have the manager fix it again.
By this time the kids are getting fussy and there’s only so many ways you can keep an 11month old happy while waiting over 15 minutes just to get a bill for your meal. My spouse decided that instead of sitting there letting two small fussy impatient children ruin everyone else’s meal he would take them out to that car leaving me with his wallet waiting on them to fix our bill. As he’s walking out of the restaurant with our kids in hand and I’m sitting at the table in a yellow shirt right across from the kitchen in plain sight of where the server and manager were fixing the bill I see the server go chasing after him shouting that he was leaving without paying for our meal. To me this was completely ridiculous and to my spouse being the only black man in the restaurant it’s absolutely embarrassing!!! The manager literally followed him all the way to the car with the kids and not once did anyone look to see that I was still at the table. He had to tell the manager that I was still inside.
When the manager came to the table his way of making things right was to knock a few things off the bill and give us some coupons. To me, that wasn’t enough. Had we only dealt with the issue with the bill it may have been but to have my spouse chased out of the restaurant being accused of stealing in front of everyone eating and a large crowd at the door it wasn’t. That’s terrible customer service and the server should have owned up to her mistake instead of accusing the other server and I feel after all of that our meal should have been completely...
Read moreI've tried to email corporate several times I've actually called them this morning and left a message even though they were supposed to be open at 8:00 anyways I can prove everything I'm saying because I have all the receipts the bartender has never been trained and my fiance had to walk her through how to do several things we purposely didn't want to come back but we did on a Sunday and of course we had her we were the only ones in there I was doing a joke and asked me to do a contest to see if he couldn't say anything for 30 minutes when we got there he didn't say anything for 30 minutes when we got there we were actually having fun with the server Sarah for the first time ever we actually had a good time with her that time however she neglected to ring Us in for everything I'm sorry I'm not that person that if you do that I'm going to get a bigger tip I've been in the restaurant business for a long time that's being a thief and I'm not going to be a part of that so long story short after we left which by the way he only talked for 15 minutes I was there the entire time he never said anything wrong this little waitress decided then to go and tell a manager he had said something derogatory but won't say what it is he then was escorted out which was very embarrassing especially considering the fact that he's a little person on oxygen the thing is he's been going there for over 27 years knows the general manager who personally called him to tell him that he needed to leave or he would call the cops I will be getting hold of corporate and if they neglect to contact me I will be taking this as far as I have to I have evidence to prove everything and it goes a lot deeper than that but I don't want to put all this on there and embarrassed their even more than she should already be as well as O'Charley's furniture properly training her and if I finally get a response from O'Charley's corporate I would be more than happy to resend them their email that they should have gotten which by the way does not work and if they don't I will take this as far as I have to because I have evidence and proofplease train your waitresses in your bartender's properly and you may want to let them know that they may want to start ringing people in for all their food because if she's not ringing Us in for food and she didn't like us and going to have us kicked out then what is she doing for her family members and other people that she does like I will take this as far as I have to this was unprofessional and...
Read moreIt is sad. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. At the rate they are going this is going to be another restaurant with a closed sign on the door pretty soon. We came in and ordered our food and was told they were out of the white fish on the seafood platter therefore we couldn't even order the seafood platter. Which I completely understand supply chain issues. Then they took the order and we waited over an hour for our food. Never once in that hour did anyone offer us a refill or more bread. Once on the way by when we had been there almost an hour, she said food is going to be up soon and kept walking. They finally brought the food and it was cold and rubbery and the Alfredo was so dry that is was basically just noodles. They never came back to see if food was cooked correctly or if we needed refills. They also messed up the order and was supposed to fix it. I finally got up and went to another server and asked for a refill. She finally came by with refills after we had already got our own and then when we were leaving brought the food that was messed up. An hour and a half after we arrived. It is understandable that there is supply chain issues and even short staffing issues but there were two waiters cleaning in the back area of the restaurant. I think it would have been better use of everyone if they would have been helping serve customers if our waitress was obviously unable to keep up with her tables. She came back to bring our check and see if there was anything they could have done. If we had been given refills and fresh bread and an apology and explanation of the wait time it might have been a whole different experience. Maybe you could teach wait staff not to walk past tables no matter who the waiter/waitress is and not refill empty glasses. I waited tables for over ten years. I understand the industry. At the end of the day there won't be anything to clean if the customers all leave. I hope that they can get somebody in to fix the issues before this place is a thing of...
