I spent about 40 mins in popeyes. I waited about 15 mins before i could place my order but there were only 3 people in the restaurant at the time, including myself. After i placed my order i asked for my receipt and the man at the register (I think his name was tanner, he has glasses) crumbled it up because i guess he could not hear me but he never asked if i wanted my receipt either. So i asked him for my receipt again and he reprinted it. Then i was told that it would be about 5 mins because i ordered blackened tenders, it took about another 20-25 mins before i received my food. While i was waiting, i observed the team members using the spout that rinses the utensils used for scooping things like mashed potatoes to wet their fingers and open bags, which is beyond unsanitary. I also observed another customer who was frustrated with the service ask when her food would be done and the man from the register (I believe that his name is tanner) replied back with an attitude saying your food is right there, he's getting your pies now. Once he gave the woman her food, she noticed that her sides were still missing and asked for them, which was still met with attitude. Another observation was that the store did not have any limits or social distancing restrictions on the number of people in the store, there were about 10 at one point in the very small space. Once my food was done and i reminded the man of my side. I looked at my food, because the box felt very light, and noticed that the tenders that i ordered looked more like nuggets (see untouched tenders in picture) and were not worth the money and definitely not worth the time at all. At that point I just had to leave because there were too many people, which felt unsafe and i had already spent 40 mins and had this outcome so spending more time just seemed like a terrible idea. When I got home, i called the store and talked to Chelsea asking for an explanation so that i can understand what happened here and why. She started by asking me if I was the woman who yelled at tanner, I informed her that I wasn't, i was the woman who was waiting patiently for my food. She brought this up rudely and in an accusatory manner. After it was cleared up that i was not the woman who spoke up about her food taking too long, chelsea said that she didnt know why they were small and that they were short staffed but she would have them remade if I wanted. I told her that if this was dont right the first time then they would not have to waste more time talking to customers about what went wrong or remaking food and asked for another manager. She told me that i could call back tomorrow and talk to their general manager. This is...
Read moreFirst time going to this store and honestly will never go back. Walked in and the roof is leaking in the front entrance. A 5 gallon bucket was overflowing with water and leaking onto the floor. Ceiling tiles were all stained and one was missing. When we got I line for our order, it was sheer chaos in the store. They had 1 lady taking orders at the counter, one girl working the drive thru and 2 people in the back. The girl at the drive thru, who I took to be the manager, had a disgruntled customer and told the woman at the counter "too bad for them. I run this f**king place and they can go to another restaurant if they don't like it." The drive thru girl took our order and didn't ask what sides we wanted, spicy or original or what we wanted for drinks. Her whole demeanor just showed that she honestly does not care about her job, her customers or her store. She had her cellphone on the counter the entire time and kept texting people while filling her orders. When our order came up, she just slapped it on a tray on the counter and walked away. She did not call out the order # or anything. We then had to stop her and ask if that was our food. Every single table in the dining area was filthy; there were crumbs everywhere, nothing had been wiped down. The ceiling in the dining area was leaking as well in multiple areas. There were 2 5 gallon buckets on the floor next to one table. Both were full of water, the floor and table were soaked. The food was absolutely disgusting; just tasted like deep fried grease, even the mashed potatoes. My friend and I took 2 bites and decided to find a different restaurant. The "manager" saw us taking the tray to the garbage by the door and asked if anything was wrong with the food. I told her I just didn't like it and remarked about how filthy the store was. She then told me "go somewhere else then and eat. If you dont like the food, call the board of health." Honestly that will be my next call. I've never been treated this way at a restaurant and can guarantee I will never go back. I also called their corporate office to let them know how awful the service was and how nasty the demeanor and attitude of the girl who was purported to be the manager was. I've worked in restaurants and bars and would never let my store look this bad or treat my customers in...
Read moreI am not one to jump on reviews and be negative. All people and restaurants have bad days where it feels like it’s falling apart. But when it comes to certain issues there is no excuse. It’s nothing for an employee to just check on restrooms. My 9 year old niece had to use the restroom. A waited outside the door for her. When she came out she was almost in tears as she explained to me that in both of the bathroom stalls someone had used the bathroom on the floor. Not urine but I’m talking feces all over the floor, and now on my nieces shoes. She was very upset because she had to go and could not hold it until I could get her to udf across the street. She had no other choice beside going all over herself which would have been humiliating for her. So before thinking jumping to calling corporate or doing this I went towards the front to speak quietly to a manager. Before I could even get to the counter i grabbed my nieces hand and turned and left because the employees were cursing about not knowing what was going on with grub hub or doordash orders. I must have heard her say the “f” word 4 times in a matter of 20 seconds. So there went the idea of speaking with anyone about the restroom floor. I would have probably been cussed out. By then the situation was just intimidating, disgusting and the atmosphere was no place I wanted any 9 year old child to have to endure. So out the door we went! My family or myself will never go back again. We had to end up throwing my nieces shoes in the trash which really upset her she had just got them less than 2 weeks ago. This was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my 37 years on this planet. I hope this place can get there restaurant clean for the safety of anyone who goes there. And obviously the employees need to check themselves and hopefully their management can put them in check. I do not speak in front of children that way. Our kids are exposed to a lot in this world but your at work getting paid to do what you do. And if you hate it enough that you have to be disrespectful and let the place get to the point of being unsanitary, my opinion is find something that makes you happier and stop coming to work to ruin other peoples day and putting them at risk of disease because you can’t check your restrooms a few...
