“It’s skyline time”, huh?
More like…”it’s noodle time” 😒
If what you say is true. I pose the question….where is the skyline? 🤔
Was it stolen? An elaborate chili heist? Could have been an inside job. All it takes it one underpaid and under appreciated employee. They’ve got a small gambling problem. They have a bad run the last couple weeks and get behind on their bills. Bill collector comes a knocking. What else are they to do? They need their kneecaps. Knowing the inner workings of the chili facility, they realize they can just siphon off some of the chili. Sell it on the black chili market for pure profit.
No. That’s too obvious.
Was there additional chili on the side, for some unknown reason, in a separate chili spill proof container and bag? Was the bag just missed in the exchange of the food? Rushes happen. Especially at such popular establishments like skyline. It’s easy enough for Morgan to get caught up while she’s working on bagging a few orders quickly so she can respond to the text from her bf, Carter, because he hasn’t responded all day. Morgan has a bit of a jealous side. Chili flying all over the place. Completely understandable to simply just miss a bag in a moment like that.
I don’t know, though. Seems unlikely. Chili…on the side?
Was this just the case of a new chili sous chef? Potentially a first time chili pourer with limited oversight from the head chili pourer? I understand the craft takes time but, maybe, not everyone can handle the heat. Metaphorically, of course. I’m sure the proprietors of this establishment maintain an acceptable temperature for both their customers and employees. I can imagine the confusion as a new employee. Spoons, ladles? What’s the difference? You can’t unpour. There’s no going back once that chili hits the spaghetti or the coney. So it’s understandable to start pouring lightly to prevent the previously mentioned overpour.
This is certainly plausible. The restaurant industry is known for its high turnover rate.
….OR….
Is it just big chili strategically inflating the price of chili? This is chili price gouging at its finest. The chiliconomy can’t possibly sustain such a sharp increase in the value of chili. There’s too many chili places and too many chili people that depend on chili to provide for their families to take such a gamble for such selfish gains.
I can tell you one thing…
It’s certainly not on the 3 way. Not much on either of the 3, actually. Yes…3 3 ways. All of which had, what us Cincinnatians would consider, a criminal amount of chili. People have gone to jail for far less.
First Mountain Dew. Now this? This is unbelievable.
It’s disappointing, disheartening and, quite frankly, disgusting. Skyline is a pillar of the chiliconomy as well as the city of Cincinnati. The “c”s in Cincinnati actually stand for chili. All of them. A lot of people don’t know that and it certainly seems skyline has forgotten that as well. It’s a shame that such a respected and revered chili brand would be reduced to skimping chili from their loyal customers.
Whether you’re a skyline guy or a gold star gal, one thing we can all agree on. Cincinnati is no place for...
Read moreToday, my work, Eastside Day Academy went on a trip to the skyline in eastgate ohio for lunch on 6-29-17. East Side Day Academy is an adult day program for developmentally disabled individuals. We arrived at the location around 11:35am with expectations to have a great lunch. Our clients were very excited. Upon entering the location, the atmosphere was immediately hostile. Members of both the kitchen staff and wait staff were blatantly staring, making comments under their breath and giggling all the while negatively gesturing towards our group. We sat for around 10 minutes before any server came to our table. It was VERY clear the servers were fighting over who would be the "less fortunate" server who would take care of our group. From the beginning of her "service" she had an extremely rude tone and it was clear that we were an inconvience to her. She didnt take care to make sure drinks were correct. Our order took an awfully long time and didn't come all at once. The first group got our food after about 10 min. It took an additional 10 minutes at the very least for the rest of the food to come out. No refills were offered and were only given after we flagged her down to get some. My personal order was wrong, I was overcharged and nothing was done about it. Upon paying, our director Kim was cut off and interrupted mid transaction because two customers "had things to do" and couldn't wait. Those customers were extremely rude and used profanity. Kim asked the employee if he was gonna let that kind of behavior happen and he shrugged his shoulders. Kim understandably got frustrated at that point. Another staff member and I started to gather the clients and usher them out to the van. The clients were all very discouraged and upset at this point. The disrespect from the employees was extremely blatant. Kim got the managers attention while the clients were being moved outside- to a safer mental space. Kim began to explain to him what was going on and he laughed in her face. At this point I was walking out the door with a client that needed assistance, so that ends my personal experience. I do understand that Kim experienced more disrespect once we were outside and loading the...
Read moreI ordered a regular 3 way and a kids 3 way and when I got home they had put crackers hot sauce and ketchup in the bag but no cheese! I didn’t order a 2 day I have a 3 year old with special needs and he has to have the skyline cheese! and I live about 15 minutes away so total 30 minutes to go back and get cheese that i ordered with my 3 way at that point my son was in a full temper tantrum i wasn’t wasting anymore time when it should never have happened! I mean you rembered crackers and hot sauce and ketchup!!! I spoke to a manager and he asked my name and told me he’d give me a credit and just swing on by and told them I spoke to him. Well today I was refused my credit and told I needed a receipt for my food so I had to drive 15 minutes to my house to get the receipt out of the TRASH!!!!! In order to get what I was promised had I been told on the phone that I needed to bring my receipt would have been nice. Then they insisted on telling me there was no credit for me and were extremely rude! I’ve been a manager at a fast food restaurant and never have I asked to see a receipt and if I had I’d be sure to tell them on the phone to bring it in with them! What if they had forgotten the receipt in the bag which they have done before at this location. I had to wait at the window for 10 minutes while the “managers” looked over my receipt? Not to mention the 15 minutes to drive back there there a total of 40 minutes of my day wasted and gas as well, to get what I had been promised because they forgot to put a part of my meal in the bag! Shame on your managers! I’m disgusted you all need to get better coustomer service training!!!! I come in at least once a day I will not be coming to this...
