If you're looking for groceries at a good price and don't mind that you're undercutting the local market by getting products mostly from overseas, then Aldi is always the best place to shop for standard products and sometimes for unusual products, but you can't find certain things at Aldi that are generally available at other stores. For example, Aldi carries very little in the way of ethnic supplies, such as Mexican and Asian Foods, or tofu and tempeh. People looking for such things will usually have to look somewhere else, although there is a limited supply of Indian food and a small selection of frozen Chinese food. while Aldi is not a large store, however, you can get almost any of the basics that you will need there. There are also seasonal selections that you can get including eggnog and European cookies. if you want to support local producers of food in America, you will definitely have to shop somewhere else but at a higher price. Aldi has probably got, in most places, the lowest prices along with certain local chains and dollar stores, but the quality is better than dollar stores.
If you're looking for specific brands, you'll have to go to other stores because Aldi usually doesn't carry the common name brands of America. For example, it's very rare that you will find pizza products at Aldi that are from name brands that you're familiar with; they have Mama Cozzi's, which is okay but nothing special unless you add your own toppings to improve it. This is not to say that there are no popular brands - they are just uncommon.
Aldi used to sell their produce by the bag but, unfortunately, customers abused this policy and as a result Aldi now sells its produce by the pound like every other store. There is a very limited selection of organic produce to choose from which will not satisfy most organic consumers. Aldi does have a small section of gluten-free products and they carry Simple Truth which often has no gluten or dairy and so on so it meets the standards of many different groups that are trying to avoid specific allergens. I was surprised to discover that their bread contains less sodium in it than the store brand of Kroger's as well as one of the popular brands. They have a lot of snacks and other unhealthful food to choose from but they also have a lot of healthful food. Because Aldi is organized much the same at each store and sensibly, and is a small store it is easy to get your shopping done quickly. The odd thing is that although many people go there because they're on a budget some people also go there because they can get things from Europe and...
ย ย ย Read moreI shop here now since food prices are ridiculous ๐ now, & tbh I've saved maybe $180-$200 bucks on my grocery bill for my family. Some of the food here is not the best quality but it's good enough for my family to survive off of. Once you shop here and eat different foods you will def. Know which foods to stay away from. The only 2 things I dislike about this place is #1 you have to have a quarter for a cart, I never understood that when you get it back when you return the cart. Not a big deal, but it's a pain in the butt to remember a quarter sometimes then your S.O.L ๐. #2 you have to buy ur own grocery bags even tho they are like 12 cents I've never heard of a store doing that before. Again NOT A BIG DEAL, all around I five 4 stars for the very very minor...

Refused to get the manager. Just maybe could use a training on customer service is all. Also to maybe ask if its okay not totally disregard the...
