Came here last night for a movie. This is located in the old dollar theater. I love the concept. I think the east side area is sorely in need of adult entertainment. I stay away from normal movie theaters bc of the crowds and kids.
Getting tickets was a little awkward and confusing. They advertise purchase kiosks but there werent any we could see. Nobody was in the front to greet us. There was a cashier's counter to the right, but no one was there. We had to go back to concessions to get tickets. They could add free standing kiosks at the front to eliminate confusion or a sign that says "counter closed. Please purchase tickets ar concessions".
The decor is beautiful, bar staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Drinks were well mixed and flavorful. Cost was a little high for drinks (1 double Jack and coke and 1 peach BlackBerry martini = $20) but the movie tickets were only $9.95, so it offset the cost some. Plenty of room to sit in the lobby and enjoy your drink or food. The theater also has regular theater seating (not stadium style) with moveable armrests and tables. My only disappointment was the tables could not move up and down and there were no leg rests. Other than that, it was a...
Read moreThis place is fantastic! The food is casual cuisine and delicious. I LOVED the caramelized Brussels sprouts and pulled pork sandwich with spicy fries. My dinner companions all loved their choices also. Nothing was expensive - the quality of the food/price ratio was outstanding. The restaurant and bar area has a great atmosphere and the service was very friendly and attentive. We went very early all of the times that I visited so it was quiet when we got there (that is how I was able to get shots without strangers in them) but already starting to get busy by the time the movies were let out. Given how great this place is I find it shocking that it isn't packed all of the time, to be honest. The theaters have super comfy seats with a nifty little table so you can eat dinner or have cocktails while watching a movie. The theaters are very clean, have a great sound system and are arranged in a way that no one has a bad seat. I went back several times while visiting Cincinnati. I recommend it as a "must visit entertainment spot" in the greater Cincy area. Would be a great place for a first date and super fun for groups of friends. A true Cincinnati gem! Can't...
Read moreWe went to see the new Dr. Strange movie on Saturday and had no idea what to expect. I had purchased the tickets way in advance thinking a movie theatre and a taproom had to be a fun time; I was 100% correct. We showed up about 2 hours early and asked the staff what we were to do, how did it all work? The manager who greeted us checked our movie time and suggested a few options. He sat us at the bar where we ordered some delicious food and drinks. Our bartender was super friendly! Then as I was drinking my old fashion and gentleman named Terry stopped by and introduced himself as the distiller of the very bourbon in my old fashion. He chatted with us for a while and we couldn't have been happier. We love bourbon and being able to bend an ear of an expert, who makes a darn good product was an awesome experience. He got us to buy 2 bottles before the movie started. Love hearing a bit of his story and loved the concept of RJ's. 10 out of 10 recommend. We walked away stating we would be back for all major movies, June we have Jurassic Park and July we have Thor, see you guys then :) Thank you for a great,...
