I've only been to this place three times the first two times were good. I think they are training a new crew so I know it takes time to get people up to speed. The most recent time I was there I placed an order for a limited time item the grilled steak and was told that they didn't have any okay I understand things run out and then placed an order for chicken beef plate and a chicken bowl to go. After 15 minutes I approached the counter asked why my food wasn't ready and was told that the beef was cooking okay I'll wait more. A couple minutes later the lady behind me went to the counter to ask why her food was not ready.
Approximately 25 to 30 minutes later my food was prepared my name was call and I went to the counter.
The young girl working the register asked me if I would like any sauce and I said yes please some of the brown teriyaki sauce you put on top
She said that's extra
I Didn't say anything I just looked at her like really?!
To her credit she turned around and asked her manager can I just give him a sauce because he waited so long and the manager shook his head yes
I understand training a new crew we have all been there but if customers are going to be expected to wait beyond 10 minutes or any length of time that is not normal they should be informed ahead of time there's there's going to be a delay do you still want to order?
People are more accommodating when you think especially during this time but you need to tell them ahead of time if things are not going to be...
Read moreNot a busy time, we popped in and it looked fairly clean. We ordered and while the guy wasn’t chatty he wasn’t rude. Ok np so far. Our food takes about 15 mins, there’s only 4 tables w people and we are the only ones waiting. Drive thru isn’t crazy. Employees are chatting and not professional or quiet (ok fine whatever, these are young people) and one big dude is literally just walking around like he’s bored. We get our food and there’s a smudge of sauce on some of the chicken. That’s it. We ask if we can get two sauces, ok fine- we pay for two extra. Here’s where it’s like “ew”. The guy tells a girl and she is on the phone and without gloves (still on the phone) she puts sauce into one container and hands it to him. We say we paid for two and he says “well it’s like two”. WHAT? First I’m getting nickeled and dimed for SAUCE that actually is part of the meal, and THEN jipped on the amount??? After that the employees pretty much are chatting it up loudly about other chicken places they like and not one person came out to clean the used/sticky tables. One of the guys had to tell a girl not to pick up raw chicken. They need a manager...
Read moreI may have written a good review of this eatery that was favorable, but new employees have changed that. I went in, and ordered as usual. When asked my name, I said Olive. The young lady appeared not to understand me, so I spoke louder, saying "Olive like the martini type". She looked at me strangely, and put "Eli" on my order. When I went to sit down, one of the customers commented to me, liking the "Olive like the martini type". This same young lady was behind the counter, with another employee, commenting on me, while giving me an ugly look. Clearly, with the new employees are not the best. I clearly, and loudly told the couple that acknowledged that they heard how I described my last name, that this is why at times I regret having served 30 years in the Army. I won't be going back. I did that customer survey thing, with zero response from Yoshinoya. I don't want the young lady fired, but that sort of nasty demeanor doesn't make customers...
