DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Upper Merion Township

I stopped in impulsively, and picked up a nice sport coat on 40% off. I usually shop clearance because this company prices it's merch like every location is on Rodeo Drive. I noticed they eliminated the 75 percent off stickers, replacing it with a 40 to go with the 25 and 50. To be kind of fair, they do follow the designer names and if you're looking for the current seasonal fashion line from Ralph Lauren and his ilk, this is a source, and you're paying for the fact that they carry big and tall sizes, up to 7x in case The Hulk is in town and needs some underwear. If you don't have deep pockets, you'll need a poker face when you look at most of the price tags. I'm not a Vulcan, but charging upwards of $175 dollars for jeans that are fashionably made to look distressed seems illogical. I was a sales associate in the mid 2000s in a much busier location and even that was only chaotic on Saturdays and holidays. The prices help to lessen the riff-raff, and each location that I've ever been in has an immaculately clean and orderly layout. If you are 4x and up, it's nice to shop at a place for those special occasion clothes that won't be bursting at the seams. Michael is amazing! I’ve had multiple Top-Tier shopping experiences with him. He has the right balance of “letting you shop alone” and “being there for questions and advice to assist.” He’s not on top of you but he’s there when you need him. The store is always beautiful, well kept, organized. I was there for a last minute shopping spree for a cruise and they had nearly everything I needed. If I had more time I could’ve ordered more items to be delivered but I didn’t have that luxury. It’s awesome that this store exists to meet the needs of Big & Tall people. My only issue is that DXL does seem to price gauge a bit. I’d understand if prices were 15-20% higher than other stores, because of the extra material used, but many times I’m paying nearly double what a “normal” person would. If DXL would give us somewhat of a break on the pricing, I’d be shopping way more often. Currently just...

Friendly staff at this location and a proper down to earth feel with the interactions. It's nice having an in house tailor on site for any alterations needed. The store has a nice layout and is fairly well stocked with most sizes. On our recent visit all fit well and the prices were reasonable for plus sized clothing.

The staff provide an individualized experience and are willing to take the time to work with you throughout your visit to assist in what items / styles / sizes you are looking for. It is much appreciated with the honesty about pricing and the staff don't actively try to push expensive products to you unless that's what you're looking for.
