Osaki’s — Restaurant in Vail

If I could give this place negative stars I would! The sushi was overpriced and not the best we have ever had. They gave our order to another couple who had been there and then tried to charge us for it. When I brought it to the managers attention she belittled her employee in front of all the guests and said “don’t apologize to me, apologize to her because you took her food to the wrong table”. I was so embarrassed for the server I told her it was not a big deal and we just wanted to leave. Dishes were piled high on the line in front of the sushi window which I am sure is against COVID guidelines. The manager had the server bring out our corrected check and apologize again. This place was a little hidden but once we found it, it didn’t disappoint. They provided great tasting filtered water (really important, tells how much a place cares about their customers).we had the Salmon shrimp roll and soft shell crab rolls, both tasted great. Their seaweed salad was on point, a little small on the portion but on point. Service was excellent as well. There were only 3 of us eating but gratuity was automatically included at 18%, don’t know if this is a common thing for them when only 3 people are dining or a common thing in Vail, but that was fine,...

I have NEVER, and I mean NEVER had this authentic, and high-quality of a sushi experience. I do not understand how they don’t have 5 stars. I don’t know if anyone else does this, but every now and again, I’ll have a meal that I cannot stop thinking about and I compare any future experiences with that type of food to that experience.
