Wishes Toys — Local services in Vail

I went in with my 3 young kids on a snowy day and we were there for an hour looking around. The owner was there and was happy to answer my children's 100 questions about the toys - how they worked, how they might have been made, how many of the same one there might be in the world...I would have gone crazy, but clearly this man likes kids and likes toys. I had to buy a present for my son for his birthday and I told the owner I would be back to buy the magnets that he loved. When I came back 3 days later, another man was there who was also really friendly. The owner had left the gift beautifully wrapped and in the display case for me. It made my day and I know it will make my son's day...

We always have to visit this toy store when we’re in Vail. 2 years ago, when visiting with our grandson, he picked out a rainbow unicorn for his little sister—still her favorite of her vast collection. Last week I was looking for an Arctic fox for her—her current favorite animal. I searched Vail for one. At Wishes, the owner looked through all the stuffed animals there to no avail. He then phoned his wife at the shop in Avon and she had one. She brought it home and he saved it for me to pick up the next day. One thrilled little girl (who happened to have the unicorn in her arms when I arrived at her...

The owner is a THIEF he sold us a defective (way over priced) $75 toy truck (tourist rip off but the kids have to have it) The THIEF refused to exchange or even give us a store credit. We Brought it back the next day. Told us to deal with the manufacturer cause why should he loose money. REALLY? It is Store owners like this that make you not want to support small shops!!! DONT BRING YOUR KIDS TO THE RIP...
