Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Vancouver

Ordered 3 small banana shakes with extra banana. I drive from salmon creek to get this and its my favorite thing here. A girl came out with 3 medium shakes (I had two kids with me that were not going to finish big shakes) I told her I ordered small ones and don't want the medium ones. The girl had an attitude with trying to figure out how to fix the restaurants mistake. I told her I would just take them but would like to be charged for small because this wasnt my mistake. She clearly didnt hear me and brought me change for the mediums. I was already super annoyed at this point so just left. I took a sip of the shake and it was so warm and gross. I've never had an issue with the shake ever, even if the service if always awful. The kids shakes were gross as well. I typically dont ever complain about orders especially fast food. I turned around and went in port #14. I told that person what happened and they seemed annoyed to do their job and fix things. I was told I needed to refund and then reorder. The person asked if I wanted a manager to come out and I kindly said no. A hispanic 16yr old with long thick hair came out with an attitude and asked for the "warm shakes" and made a comment about them being warm as if i was lying. I held my tongue because it's not worth a fight at this point. I handed them to her and she mumbled some immature comment to someone else (it echos) and slammed them in the trash. I reordered 3 small blasts and the prices difference was maybe around $0.60 from my first order. Multiple things were adding to my frustration now. The blasts took way longer than usual (probably because everyone hates me at this point) it took more than 15min and I was backing out to leave and someone finally came out with our order. Another 16yr old girl came out, I kindly gave her exact change and she chuckled at me. Maybe everyone was having a tough shift, or it was busy, or no one wants to work, or staffing is a struggle and you settle for teenagers with attitudes but in a total of almost an hour to get some ice cream, I dealt with 4 employees that were not friendly and found humor in this and seemed annoyed to work. Hoping it was just a bad day...

Last month I went to this Sonic. I ordered a cheeseburger, onion rings and a blackberry CREAM slush. When my order was brought to me my hamburger was cold (cheese not even melted) onion rings were burnt and they brought me a blackberry PEACH slush - GROSS - those two flavors don't even sound right together. As a former employee of Sonic who used to make all the great drinks they have to offer, I would have at least asked the customer for clarification if I heard them order something that did not sound right. So as the car hop is handing me my slush she says and here's your blackberry peach slush. I said oh no I ordered blackberry CREAM slush. Ok she says I'll go remake it. Guess what they brought me? a PEACH CREAM SLUSH. Why is this restaurant pushing peach onto me? I order 3 items they managed to mess it up 4 times. I was already down the road by the time I took the first sip of the peach cream, which wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I ordered. I had finished the cold hamburger while waiting on the second slush order. The O-rings where just too burnt to consume. So I pulled my car over and called the Sonic. We went through the spew of giving him my address so he could send me some free food coupons - which I felt uncomfortable doing. I was only blocks away why didn't he say just stop back by and I'll hand them to you? Also the visit before this one at this Sonic I was not happy with the quality of my chicken strip dinner but at least the order was correct. I used to love Sonic but I think I won't be going back. Not to this location anyway! I used one of my cards they sent the other day and again cold hamburger. I didn't dare order a cream slush! I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THEY OPEN UP THE NEW CHICK FIL A DOWN THE ROAD - watch your sales go boom boom boom. When I was employed by Sonic it was for a franchisee that cared about his store. He actually worked there every day for lunch rush - impressive for a franchisee - that location... Concord NC just down the road from Concord Mills Mall - if you're ever in that area look...

It is like any other fast food burger place and the prices you can find something in a sit down restaurant for pretty close to the same price maybe a few dollars more a plate. For as many slurpees and drinks they claim they can make it seems to be they can't make certain flavors. Now they have cut waaay down on their flavors. We don't even go their anymore way too expensive.The outside is set cute but can be scary when people are backout and you are waiting in their drive thru. You can pull up to the parking stalls and order also pay there and they will bring your food and drink out to you or go to the window and order then sit down or use the ordering machine where you sit down, pay there then they bring it out but a tad confusing just because if you want something left off your burger or a special drink it's better to talk to someone to make sure it can be done or done right. Not sure if you are supposed to tip them if they bring your food out to you or not since it is a fast food place. They used to deliver food while they had roller skates but I don't remember if they do that anymore. I guess trying to make it back like in the 50's. We try to go thru the drive thru more often than not. Horrible set up for parking because when you are in their stalls it's hard to pull back out because all the people in the drive thru line are blocking you. Sometimes they can be quick other times it can be slow to order and get your food. The people in drive thru don't have a lot of room to let you out since they have to watch for people backing out on both sides of them.They do have a happy hour but will have to check if that is just for summer or all year round. Other than that I would still eat there. Food is decent to good just like any other burger place. I think it's more for the nostalgia feeling of pulling up to to speaker menu and having them bringing it to you. So I would...
