Concept of a fast, casual walk-through window serving seafood and fries is a great idea, but other places do it better. The service here wasn't too friendly and none of the employees seemed happy to be working there. They didn't check Doordash for orders so even after waiting the allotted amount of time to walk up and pick up my food, they hadn't started it yet, so I had to wait even longer. The fish had a good taste, but was overly greasy. However, I do admit that the fries tasted wonderful, especially with the jalapeño aioli. The prices tend to be slightly better than inside sit-in establishments, but I'd rather just pay the extra money next time to avoid poor service and overwhelmingly oily fish.

Great staff and delicious food! I had the calamari and waffle fries with a blackberry basil lemonade. It was filling and the lemonade was very refreshing. Loved the basil. The food presentation was nice, with the newspaper theme and Tiffany-colored paper basket for your food. Be careful touching their counters though. They’re metal and therefore very hot without the shade or any protective cover. Their place sits in front of the water feature and faces the waterfront, so you get great views with your meal.

Fun and convenient location. Right off of the new Vancouver Waterfront. Amazing views of the river and eco friendly packaging. The BlackBerry basil lemonade was to die for! The Halibut was flaky and moist with a golden crispy batter. The bahn mi taco had flavors that bunched you in the tastebuds! The most enjoyable knockout!!! Gotta be honest. I'm so considering grabbing a soft serve swirl from them if I manage to walk off this feast. ;)

I so wanted this place to be good. What fun, a fish shack on the waterfront. Alas, I was sadly disappointed. It started with the sullen staff that took my order and served my food. I went out to the limited stand up table area set aside for the "fish window" (not allowed to sit in the Wildfin area, what's up with that?!) only to find greasy, food stained tables. I walked back and asked for a rag and a staff member reluctantly came out and wiped off the tables. I asked if it felt good to get out of the kitchen and was answered by "I just want go home." On to the food. $13.99 for a single, large, flour tortilla wrapped Banh Mi style taco that took me three bites before I found any fish, which once I did find was tasty, but minuscule. No joke. There was so much cilantro stem that every bite I took dragged a long piece out covering my chin with aioli. Yuck. Accompanying the 'taco" was a pint sized fruit box filled with tortilla chips that I am certain were pulled from a bag, no salsa. What??? Judging by the garbage can that we disposed our containers in, many felt the same way as it was packed with full chip containers. What a sad waste, on many levels. My partner had the two piece cod and chips for $10.99 and she was okay with it, nothing to come back for. We both ordered what sounded like an intriguing lemonade - blackberry and basil. Unfortunately it was so syrupy sweet the flavors could not shine. We both dumped ours in the bushes after a couple of sips. It would have been nice to get a beer or a cider, but those were not offered. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place nor return, which is too bad cuz it's a great location. I really don't like writing bad reviews, but I couldn't not write this one. Don't waste your time or money. I gave it two stars only because my partner was okay with her meal.

Update, 7/21/2022 After posting this review I was contacted by the owner of the company and asked to call the General Manager about my experience. I did, and he was very receptive and genuinely apologetic, and thanked me for the feedback, stating it "provided him a teaching opportunity." This gives me hope and I will definitely wait a bit then give them a try again. This kind of response and customer service is part of what will keep me coming back to any establishment. Stay tuned. Thank you,...

Walked to order food and literally all of the employees there ignored me. One went under the desk, the other two looked at each other and smirked & one went back to the back. I asked if they are operating & if I could order and they just looked at me then at each other. I Walked away without ordering because by now it was clear I was not getting served. Three white girls immediately walked to order and they all jumped up greeted them and took their order. I was watching so I went back to ask if there was a reason I couldn’t be served… the three white girls also acknowledged how rude and wrong they were after I explained what had happened to me. They all gave stupid excuses like I was paying for my parking, the two were wondering who would take the order… etc for 5 minutes? One of the girls offered to buy me the food but I respectfully declined. This is the worst and I mean the worst service I’ve experienced my entire life. All of you who worked on 08/21 around 3pm should be ashamed...

I read reviews a couple of months ago, but decided to wait until now to try this place. Reviews are up and down. This is a walk-up, to go place with stand-up tables. No umbrellas and would be very uncomfortable on even just a warm day.

I ordered 3 piece cod fish and chips, my wife ordered the calamari. You get your entire meal. You get your meal shoving into a tiny box with your fries buried on the bottom.

I thought that maybe by now they would figure out their greasy food problem. They have not. Everything was very greasy and your fries get completely drenched with the main entree crammed down on top of them.

The taste of the fish was excellent and the greasy, very crunchy batter was tasty. The calamari was tender and very tasty.

The staff was very friendly., but they really need to learn how to properly fry and handle fried foods so they do not retain so much oil.

We will not...
