Been a few times and enjoyed everything. Went tonight and probably had the absolute worst experience dining in a restaurant. I'm just going to start with it took over 5 minutes for a server to even greet us after being sat. Not a huge deal but okay. Ordered fried zucchini and me and my husband got a beer. We both ordered salads. He; the Caesar with chicken. Me, the southwest with chicken and I asked (when I ordered) for an extra side of dressing. Salads came out shortly after appetizer and on my salad was about 5 thin hard pieces of chicken. ($7) I bit a piece and couldn't even chew it. And also did not get the side of dressing I asked for. Waiting for her to come back after about 5 minutes I asked a server walking by if she would grab her for me. When she came I had kindly asked her for a different side of chicken as this one is simply over cooked and only 5 tiny pieces. And a side of dressing. Her first response was; where is the end- did you eat it. And laughed. Shocking I moved the piece to show her there were in fact 2 ends. She let me know she'd put in another side of chicken for me, at no charge. And said she will grab a dressing. Another probably 5-7 minutes goes by, still no dressing. I'm getting very upset because I ordered it when I placed my order so this wouldn't happen. She came to the table and I rudely asked for my dressing. And she decided to tell me it didn't come with a side because she had them put extra on the salad. Which also wasn't true. And still no chicken. After bringing me dressing I asked where the chicken was and she said there was a lot of tickets in front of mine........ at this point I'm dumb founded. Probably 20 minutes after getting my salad I got a side of chicken. My salad has about 3 bites left and she let me know it was fresh for me. I ate my side of chicken. We waited for check, and waited, and waited. My baby started to cry so I just went up the the front to walk with him just observing. 2 managers talking at the host stand, then to see my server come in from the front door (smoke break???) not sure why she would be outside while tables are waiting for her.. I asked her my check as she walked by. When she got to the table I had asked if her manager knew about everything and she said yes. Kinda crazy after all of the no manager came to speak to us. She told me she would ask to take the salad off. I told her no I ate it I was going to pay for it. I wasn't looking for free food I just wanted a simple grilled chicken salad. $22 for a salad you think they could get it right. I paid for everything and let her know how awful this whole experience was. As we were walking out the manager told us to have a nice night. I am shocked at the poor customer service, careless staff (other than the bus gentleman who helped get me some hot water for my baby) and the lack of effort. Really considering never going back. Wait was 30 minutes for outside for it being on the waterfront. We live on the waterfront so didn't mind not waiting for the view. We were just hungry. Honestly wish we wouldn't even have gone out. It was supposed to be a quick walk there eat and get back. It took well over an...

We had visited this restaurant a few times in the past and always enjoyed the view, but tonight’s experience was truly awful and we won’t be giving them our business anymore.

When we arrived, a family member who had been waiting for us already had a table. We asked the hostess, Jasmine, for a high chair for our toddler. Shortly after, as we were walking towards the table, we requested to be moved to another table because the sun had been in my family member’s face the entire time. Jasmine said nothing, rolled her eyes, and walked away with the high chair, visibly annoyed. She never explained what was happening, and no one checked in with us while we stood there, holding our toddler.

Eventually, I saw her at the front desk with menus and asked about our request. She brusquely replied that she was about to seat other guests and told us to wait until she was finished. When I explained that it wasn’t acceptable to leave us without saying anything, she responded rudely again, insisting she had already given us a table, then walked away to seat other patrons.

I asked another hostess (in training) to call the manager. When the manager, Laurie, arrived, instead of listening or de-escalating, she falsely accused me of yelling at Jasmine, something that simply did not happen. I told her this was untrue and explained that we had been ignored and treated disrespectfully. She repeated the accusation, instead of addressing the clear disrespect and lack of basic courtesy from her staff. I reiterated that it was false and expressed my shock at both the poor customer service and her defensiveness. Laurie reluctantly offered an apology, saying she would address it, but then claimed there were no other tables available—despite several being open—and that the sun would soon move.

At that point, my husband, our family member, and I were all extremely uncomfortable and decided to leave. We left feeling shocked at the poor service and lack of professionalism. We will not be returning until customer respect and basic courtesy becomes a...

Let me start off by saying the view from the balcony is amazing! The appetizers that were order had great flavor and tasted fantastic. However when ordering our food I was very cautious and made sure that the server was aware that I had an allergy to onions when ordering my French Dip. I told her no onions as I'm allergic to them. I also sub my fries for carrots. After ordering she repeated everything ordered and had everything correct. When our food arrived at the table she dropped it off and walked away I could immediately smell onions. I carefully pulled back the bread on my French Dip to find raw onions on it. I sat and waited for someone to walk by my table for 20mins she finally came back and asked if we wanted more drinks and than noticed my food was untouched. I said no thank you to the drink and polite asked that my food be remade as it had raw onion on it and I'm allergic she was super apologetic and said she put allergy on the ticket (which we know she did as she read it back to us). She took my food back and about 15mins later she came back with my food this time no onions but I had fries instead of my carrots. I asked what happened to the carrots I had ordered. She said "they put the carrots away for the night so they gave you fries" like it was no big deal. I said okay. At this point I was very frustrated as everyone else had basically finished eating. I ate part of my sandwich. Seen what we thought was a manger walk outside like he was going to come apologize for what happened but instead he just stood and starred at our table instead and than went back inside. At this point it was no fault of the server it was the chefs fault for not reading the ticket properly. No apology from the manager, no discount for the meal, no taking the $8 up charge for the carrots I didn't get off my bill. It was a very negative first visit not sure if I will be returning. I do understand the risk I take...

Dinner at Waterfront Taphouse. Definitely recommend the steak and bruschetta! 📍Vancouver, Washington #waterfront #foodie #vancouverfoodie #restaurant

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Tap House in Vancouver, and I have to say, it was an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was outstanding. I started off with the Harvest Salad, and let me tell you, it was amazing! The fresh greens were perfectly complemented by the seasonal fruits and veggies, and the homemade dressing was delicious. It was the perfect start to my meal. Next up were the chicken wings, and they were hands down the best I've ever had! They were perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of spice. The ranch dipping sauce was the perfect complement, and I couldn't get enough of them. But the real star of the show was the Upside Down Apple Pie. It was warm, sweet, and absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly flaky, and the apples were cooked to perfection. It was the perfect end to an amazing meal. But what really set The Tap House apart was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and they went above and beyond to make sure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. They were quick to refill my drink, offer suggestions from the menu, and made sure that I had everything I needed. Overall, I highly recommend The Tap House to anyone looking for an amazing dining experience. From the delicious Harvest Salad to the incredible chicken wings to the Upside Down Apple Pie, every dish was perfection. And the service was outstanding. I will definitely be back!

Located above Twigs, they serve simple but well presented food and drinks. The pepperoni pizza board is $15. It's decent. For some strange reason, it reminds me of the pizza I was served at school. Perhaps it's the way that it's cut. It's not amazing, but it's a enjoyable, savory dish. I wish the pepperoni weren't so large. If they used the small cup, more flavorful pepperoni, it would elevate this dish. More notable is the bruschetta. You order three for $17. They can be the same or mix and match. I went with the 1) Tomato, Mozzarella, Basil, Balsamic Glaze 2) Soppressata Salami, House - Made Pesto, Black Pepper 3) Brie, Red Apple, Fig, Chives. The latter was surprisingly delightfully sweet. It could almost be categorized as a dessert. There's several other choices on their menu that look tasty. Don't let the taphouse name fool you. Some of the better cocktails in Vancouver are served here. I tried their barrel aged Manhattan. Normally I steer clear of barrel aged drinks. Prior to this, they've always tasted deluded or weak. But the bartender was kind enough to let me try a small sample. It was legit. I also had a bespoke, Willette rye with Antica formula Manhattan. Both were $18 each. That's a few bucks less than you would pay at Witness Tree (and without the mandatory 20% service fee). This is a good joint. It's a great choice to take people out or a date night.
