McDonald's — Restaurant in Vero Beach

This rating is based only on a review of the crispy chicken sandwich. I am trying the crispy chicken sandwiches at the various fast food restaurants. This has been the worst so far. The chicken was overdone in the crisper, the coating was very dark in color. The sandwich consists of a roll, a piece of crispy chicken and 2 small pickle rounds..that's it, no sauce, or lettuce or tomatoes, etc. So, to open it up and look at it, it is very unappealing and the taste is as dry, as the sandwich looks. It looks nothing like how it appears in the tv commercial. The cost is 3.99, which would be acceptable, if the sandwich was, moist, tasty and appealing to the eye and palate. Popeye's has the best crispy chicken sandwich, at the same price.

Updated July 3rd 2024 Pulled into the drive-thru around 10:40 a.m. and noticed an advertisement in the side window indicating a couple of menu items that were available all day and on sale for 1.49. One of those items was a sausage McMuffin. I was glad to see that, because I wanted to have a breakfast item and normally they are not available after 10:30 a.m. After ordering several items I included the order for the sausage McMuffin and was told that it was too late for a breakfast item. I informed the person taking the order, about the sign in the window that said sausage McMuffin was available all day long. He couldn't understand me so they got someone else on the microphone, that indicated that special ended quite a few months ago and was no longer available. I told them I just looked at the sign in the window and they insisted that there was no sign in the window indicating that these items were available all day long. When I got to the window to pay, I told the guy again about the sign in the window that we just passed and he assured me that we did not see that sign, that there was no sign that indicated that the sausage McMuffin was available all day long. So I never did get my breakfast sandwich, but I would suggest to McDonald's that they go back to serving their breakfast menu all day long, as it was very popular when they...

Better service than I expected at this recently renovated McDonald's on South Federal Highway in Vero Beach, Florida. Your choice on ordering - you can either speak with a human or you can use the self-service kiosk.

Despite the many opportunities to eat at Downtown Friday, my youngest daughter and her friend wanted McDonald's. So McDonald's it was.

Kids wanted large fries and Oreo McFlurry's. I debated the double fish filet combo meal as It was Friday and I observe Lent. A cashier took our order. Quick, easy, and to the point - female cashier was polite and indicated that the order would be brought to our table upon preparation.

A few minutes passed and our food was delivered, including an extra on the French Fries. I quickly checked my receipt and determined that our order was one combo meal and the two desert drinks. When the error was brought to our cashier's attention, she told us to keep the extra fries.

Store needs a little better upkeep on cleanliness. It's a relatively recent remodel and should be better maintained. Plenty of parking, but you have to walk across a double drive-thru lane if parked on the north side of the store.

I am not a fast food person. Yesterday though, I had the strangest craving for a sausage biscuit, no egg and American cheese. I had to run out in the morning to pick up my dog's medication and I know I have passed McDonald's numerous times day in and day out but never really saw it till yesterday. On a whim I pulled in and place my order. They have two lines that merge into one which is a little strange and dangerous but the lines move fast and the wait was less than 5 minutes from start to finish. Surprise me I returned home, the biscuit and sausage we're almost hot the cheese was melted perfectly. I took the first bite and the biscuit crumbled a little bit it was so fresh and I think if I could have purred I would have it just hit the spot. It was the best sausage biscuit I have had without gravy and I don't know how long. Again this death was nice everything was fresh everything was clean. I just might have to try going back another time and see if they can do it two...
