I just had an incredibly disappointing experience with Top Spice, and I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction with their abysmal customer service. From the dry, flavorless pork to the complete lack of effort in rectifying their mistake, it was an evening of frustration and disappointment.
Firstly, the pork dish I ordered was beyond disappointing. It was so dry and tasteless that I could hardly distinguish it from chicken. The lack of flavor was truly disheartening, leaving me questioning the quality of their ingredients and the competence of their kitchen staff.
Hoping to find a solution and some form of compensation for the unpleasant food take-out experience, I decided to reach out to Top Spice via phone. Unfortunately, my interaction with their representative only added to my frustration. The person on the phone displayed zero willingness to go out of their way to make up for the error. Their dismissive attitude and lack of empathy were deeply off-putting.
What bothered me even more was the fact that there was not even an attempt made to help fix the issue this very night. I understand that mistakes happen, but a reputable establishment should be proactive in finding a resolution to ensure customer satisfaction. It was disheartening to encounter such indifference and a complete lack of effort on their part.
As a customer, I believe that it is not only fair but essential for businesses to take responsibility for their mistakes and make sincere efforts to rectify them. Sadly, Top Spice failed miserably in this regard. Their customer service left a sour taste in my mouth, overshadowing any redeeming qualities they may have had.
I highly discourage anyone from dining at Top Spice, especially if you value good customer service and quality food. The dry and tasteless pork coupled with the lack of effort to address the issue has left me deeply disappointed. There are plenty of other establishments in the area that offer better food and genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction.
In conclusion, Top Spice's poor customer service and the lack of effort to rectify their mistakes make it a place I cannot recommend. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration by choosing an alternative dining option that values its customers' experiences and strives...
Read moreTHE WORST THAI FOOD EVER!!!! It’s Americanized and not authentic at all! It use to be back in the day but idk what happened. I use to order food from here often, and I was satisfied with this ordinary Thai food when I’m at work, on Friday march 22nd, I ordered delivery and i understand sometimes delivery lessens the foods taste. I don’t ever usually complain if it’s edible but I was working that day and me and my colleague were hungry, but we spent almost $100 for 4 items and the dishes we ordered were absolutely disgusting. I ordered the lad-na chicken, it tasted like ketchup and the color of the food was off, the noodles were clumped together and the sauce on one side of the bowl, the Thai spring rolls were disgusting, tasted like they were fried in OLD oil and came with unauthentic fake sweet and sour sauce when they promoted a sweet chili sauce, the spicy flat noodles was sweet and not at all spicy, it wasn’t even mild. Each vegetable inside this dish had a different taste as if it were prepared separately with different seasonings, And the roti murtabak was mid. Very mid. Way too oily but it was the only thing that was edible. I called and complained looking for a refund, but the manager wasn’t in and I had left my number with the hostess because she told me the manager would give me a call back. It’s now MONDAY March 22nd and he has yet to call. I called again recently and was told the manager was out. But since I told them I would personally go up to the restaurant myself, he is supposedly on a break will call back at 6pm today. I am waiting for 6pm.
Update. I called back because the manager didn’t want to call me. He was very rude and unprofessional. He did not want to help and said that he didn’t call back because he didn’t want to waste his time and it’s not his fault that I did not like the food. He told me to stop calling and he refuses to give my money back. Then he would not let me talk and then just hung...
Read moreMy first experience with Top Spice was excellent. I really can't find anything to complain about.
Food: I ordered off of the Malaysian Chef's menu. I tried the Honey Butter Shrimp, which is lightly fried shrimp with diced peppers and onion in a honey butter sauce with broccoli. It was incredibly good. The flavor of the sauce was wonderful - it was sweet and buttery, with the diced peppers gave it just a slight amount of spicy that complemented the dish perfectly. The shrimp were fried just right as well. The portion was just right for me, though I do have a healthy appetite. Not only that, but when it came out the presentation was absolutely beautiful.
Environment: The decor is what you would expect at a nice Asian restaurant. A little modern, but that's how such places tend to be in my experience. The lighting was low, but not too low. Recorded piano music was playing at just the right volume, giving an air of class. This is definitely somewhere good to go for a nice romantic evening.
Service: My waiter was courteous and helpful. He met all my needs, but never became a bother. I will note that I went at 5PM on Labor Day, and the only other customers were one couple who seemed to be enjoying themselves, but I doubt the level of service goes down too much when it's more crowded.
Cost: Thai restaurants tend to cost more than Chinese restaurants, and this one is no exception. Dinner for two will probably run you anywhere from $40-$100 depending on whether you get appetizers and alcoholic drinks. Still, given the quality of everything I experienced, I don't think it's overpriced.
So the final word is I'll definitely be going back, and I definitely...
