I am writing to express my disappointment with the service my family and I experienced during our recent visit to Longhorn Steakhouse at 2955 Cobb Pkwy SE, Atlanta, GA 30339, on January 18, 2025.
On January 14, 2025, I called ahead to confirm that a party of 25 could be accommodated. I spoke with Longhorn employee Deondre, who assured me that accommodations could be made. He also advised that we should call 3-4 hours prior to our arrival to be added to the waitlist.
On the evening of January 18, we contacted the restaurant at approximately 4:00 p.m. and spoke with Manager Elliott. I informed him of our party size and that we would be arriving at 7:00 p.m. He assured me that we would be waitlisted and that, as long as half of our party had arrived, we would be seated.
When we arrived at 6:30 p.m., more than half of our party was present, but we were faced with an extended wait without any acknowledgment from your staff. When I spoke with the hostess, she told us that the entire party needed to be present to be seated. This was in direct contradiction to what we had been told during both the January 14 call and our earlier call that day.
After speaking with the hostess, she brought Manager Elliott over, who apologized for the miscommunication and the inconvenience, but we were still left waiting without any further updates. We then addressed the situation with another manager on duty, Lidia, whose response was unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of offering an apology or an explanation, she claimed that no one had brought the issue to her attention. Once we identified ourselves, she mentioned the delay was due to cleaning plates and tables. As the only manager at the front, it was her responsibility to address our concerns and keep us informed during the lengthy wait.
What was most disappointing was her visible frustration and lack of empathy. As a manager, I would expect her to demonstrate professionalism and lead by example, especially in customer service situations like this.
When we were finally seated, there was only one waiter assigned to our table. He informed us that he was the only waiter willing to serve our large party. While we understand that staffing can be a challenge, the delays continued as we waited for our food. When Manager Elliott checked on our table, we informed him that we hadn’t received any of our food yet. Shortly after, our food was delivered, but unfortunately, it was cold. At this point, given the excessive delays, we chose not to report the issue regarding the food, as we feared it would cause even more delays.
I understand that delays can happen, but the lack of acknowledgment, updates, and a sincere apology throughout our visit made the experience far more frustrating. A simple acknowledgment or apology would have gone a long way toward improving our experience, especially after spending over four hours in your establishment.
I hope this feedback helps improve the service and customer experience at your restaurant. I would appreciate a response regarding...
Read moreThe worst experience at longhorn ever . It was so disappointing on 5/16 we arrived at longhorn at 9:30 pm . Prior to arriving we called and asked what time was the last sitting and we were told 10pm . However that wasn’t the case . Me and my family and a couple of my daughter’s friends arrived at longhorn to celebrate their 8th grade graduation . A party of 10 , we were looking forward to enjoying our favorite place along with good laughter and family . However upon arrival words hurt down by the store manager himself. He stated that we couldn’t be seated due to him being short staffed . He didn’t have servers to take our order. Ok that’s not acceptable because we called the location prior to showing up and the young lady on the phone didn’t mention that they were done for tonight . Not only did we drive 47 mins to this location. We wasted time gas and barely could find food do to the timing . The graduates were so disappointed and heartbroken. What we thought was going to be a celebration that night turned out totally different. Manager are paid to oversee the establishment. What bothered me the most is that I’m a Store Manager myself and when you fall short of employees it is your duties to make sure that store runs efficiently as possible.Rather you have to serve ,cook, bartend or wash dishes . The store should still be up and Operational at all times . The general manager was not helpful at all . He only apologized, but how can a sorry fix hungry kids that had just graduated looking forward to a hot meal . If the young lady on the phone would have gave us the information over the phone that they were no longer taking customers that would have been totally understandable.Driving almost a hour away just to get rejected just didn’t same fair at all . Me and my kids always choose longhorn for our celebrations . This was the second bad experience at this location in one week . We had just dined in on Saturday for a birthday celebration and we waited two hours on food . The same manager in charge . Being in the food industrial myself some things are just so unacceptable when it comes to Customer Service. This establishment gives longhorn a bad reputation. It makes me never want to take my family...
Read moreI have been eating at Longhorn a lot since COVID. the one thing that I really like is that no matter which location the food and service has been the same until yesterday at this location. They operate completely different from any Longhorn that I have been to!
Today is February 4, 2024. I ordered the salmon dinner ( 10 oz) last night with double rice and brussel sprouts. I had to wait one hour to pick up my food. When I arrived I called in for them to bring out my order just like all the other Longhorns and I was told that I had to come inside because I hadn't paid for it yet. After I paid for my meal. My change was $2.30. I was told not asked that they didn't have the thirty cents. Its the principal. When I arrived home I had butter and NO bread! My rice wasn't the same rice as the other Longhorns and it was vastly under cooked, more like crunchy. The salmon. Part of it was dry and part of it was under cooked. I ate the dry part first and then i was done. No rice, no bread!
I went to bed upset and hungry. I called in the rising so that I can be polite to voice my complaint. I was told to call back after 3 pm ( 4 hours later) because the current manager did not know how to refund CASH!
Mind you Its Sunday i should have had my dinner by now because the food that i picked up last night was enough for two days. I waited until after 3pm only to be told to call their corporate office in regards to getting a CASH refund! This is literally insane in 2024 that this was their only option for me!
Now I have to go spend more cash on more food! What if I wanted to go some place else? I should be able to use my cash where I damn where please! Such an inconvenience and a disappointment. They will send me a gift card via email in 3-5 days. I will never go to this location again. It's the closest to my home.
in addition if you go to any Longhorn make sure that you get a paid receipt. They like to give you the receipt from the order and not the one that shows paid. Had I not made it a point to receive the paid receipt only God knows how this may have turned...
