Domoishi — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

I eat here every day. My husband even started eating here most of his take out orders. I love that I’m eating healthier and the employees make the food right in front of me, so I always know my food is not messed with and it’s fresh. I get the poke bowl with doing salad mix and a lot of veggies with chicken and sometimes I switch it up with shrimp. I get avocado and mango and all my favorite flavors in one delicious salad. Even the seaweed is epic and delicious. I don’t know how or why, because I’ve hated seaweed my entire lifetime — before Domoishi! My husband gets the beef and onion and broccoli udon ramen bowl with pork base. He loves it and makes yummy noises all the while eating it, which is never how he normally eats. They are on point and we have loved everything we have ordered there, to include shrimp tempura, shrink dumplings things that were round with a light breading, and spring rolls. Tonight also got a mango smoothie that I am super thrilled I’d made with only mango, water, and ice! I have a lot of allergies and this place is an absolute blessing to me. I get to enjoy eating for the first time in many, many years, and I am not suffering after eating. Can’t thank these...

I have never had any issues with this restaurant until today. I ordered online at 2:08 PM and when I went to get it about 15 minutes later, I stood at the counter for about 5 mins without anyone greeting me. So I walked down the other end of the counter to get their attention and finally after about another 5 minutes, they asked what I needed. I told him I was picking up an online order. The guy told me it was almost ready. I saw two of my Boba sitting off to the side. When my food was finally done, he gave me both Boba without lids. They were filled to the brim. I asked how was I supposed to drive home like that? He gave me an apologetic look and said “sorry our lids are broke”. Not only did it spill as soon as I touched it, But also during my commute home. a place as many napkins around the cups, but it spilled in my car. I’m extremely dissatisfied with the warm, half spilled boba and Luke warm food. I receive everything at approximately 2:47 PM. It took way too long to get what I ordered. I don’t think I’ll be going back to this...

I've eaten here several times, most times it is hit or miss. Maybe the food is under seasoned or over cooked, but the last few times over the course of this year has been horrible. I've been served GREEN meat, and rotten noodles. Yes the noodles themselves smelled like spoiled pasta. I 100% believe that this location consistently serves spoiled food, it has happened too many times for it to be a fluke. About a year ago I did mention that one of their items was overcooked and their response was, they were ordering different cuts of meat due to inflation...while that maybe true the problem was still that the food was overcooked. Anyways I fear that they have also begun using spoiled meat that they did not sell fast enough, to save money, I hope I'm wrong. I think the management maybe in over their heads, that's understandable. But this location needs to be shut down until better management can be obtained, if not someone is going to get very...
