This Ruby Tuesday is located along Virginia Beach Blvd. at the corner of Constitution Dr. This is in the Town Center area of the city. The place is easily visible from the road. There is ample parking on site as well. The outside of the place looks typical for all Ruby Tuesday locations I have seen. My visit here was on January 1, 2021.
Let's start with Covid-19 protocols. Like most places, masks are required for entry and while not seated at your table. Entry is also not permitted if you exhibit any symptoms related to Covid-19 as well. There is hand sanitizer available as you come in. Only select tables and booths are available to ensure proper social distancing.
We got here around 12:15 pm that day for lunch. We were immediately greeted and seated when we came in. We went around the long way to our table to ensure social distancing. Once seated, Quinn came to the table to introduce herself, give us menus to look over, and asked what we wanted to drink. It had been a while since I had been to a Ruby Tuesday, so it took a little while to look through the menu.
After looking over the menu and the inserts, my mom and I decided to go with the 2 for $22 deal. For the starter, we went with the House Baked Soft Pretzels. For the entrees, we both went with the Classic Cheeseburger. We also added the Garden Salad bar as well.
Once ordered, we were able to go to the Garden Salad Bar. There are protocols in place here as well. It is self-service, but gloves and a new plate are required each time you go there (they are provided there for you). The salad bar is actually pretty big with lots of different options. It turned out to be a really good beginning to lunch. A little bit after eating the salad items, the soft pretzels came out. The queso was a great dip to go along with it as well.
After about 10 minutes, the burgers came out to the table. The burgers were hot and the fries were as well. The burgers were cooked to order and juicy too. It was a really good meal overall for both of us. We were definitely full by the time we left.
Overall, this was a very good visit here. Service was on point and the food was great. I will definitely be coming back here in the future. They also have an e-mail rewards program. If you're in the Town Center area of the city, this place is still worth checking...
Read moreI’ve never had such a horrible experience. Online I ordered the catfish and fried shrimp which was $17.99 OK. Then I ordered the salad bar which was $12.99 when I got there the solid ball did not look good. It looked like it had not been refreshed and the lettuce looked wilted so I said I’ll get the Cajun chicken pasta. I had a reward a Bogo. I’ve always understood Bogo to be of equal or less value. The manager told me I cannot get the Cajun chicken pasta Which was $16.99then the bartender went to her and told her I’m trying to get free food. I was insulted I was cussed at called names. Even the chef came out and said that he would make the pasta for me again. The manager had something to say to me and yes, I spoke back to Her and told her she was wrong. Then when I get my fish and shrimp, I wish you could see it. I will post a picture with the mashed potatoes instead of the baked potato with sour cream and butter. I ordered it was not worth $17.99She got angry, went in the kitchen and told him not to make the pasta told me she’s gonna call the police and put me out the Restaurant. I’ll let her know I don’t have a problem with that because I stand in the mist of trouble. If you have a camera, please look at it. Your bartender was acting a fool. Your manager was just plain rude and wouldn’t listen to me. She said I can’t I can’t change my mind. I wasn’t trying to get anything free. You literally offered a Bogo. I will never go to that ruby Tuesday again they’re Ignorant. The manager stormed out and snatched the food I paid for and took it to the back and said I couldn’t have the food I paid for. You better not complain or the bartender is gonna lose control In the manager, listens to everything, the bartender says. Whoever that bartender is is whispering evil things to the manager and the manager going right along with it. I never got my food. I didn’t wanna eat it after she took it to the back, cause she probably could’ve spit in it. Also, I ordered a baked potato and they gave me some old nasty mashed potatoes instead. I don’t have money to waste. After this is experience, I don’t think I would ever go to Ruby Tuesdays again. And definitely not this one at Virginia Beach. It does not compare to the other restaurants that...
Read moreIt was Veterans day and I went to meet my Grandma and her best friend for lunch. The hostess didn't write down my Grandmas name when she arrived. I am not sure if the hostess that made that error was the same one I encountered later, but when my Grandma mentioned to the hostess Jackie that she didn't get her name when she arrived, Jackie told my Grandmother she would fix it. At this point, my Grandma and her best friend, both in their late 80s, had been sitting RIGHT NEXT to the hostess station for over 20 minutes. The hostess Jackie proceeded to seat everyone else that came in after my Grandma.
Finally it came to one Veteran that arrived AFTER my Grandma asked a second time to be put on the list. He watched the whole thing, the waiting area is not large. At this point my Grandma had been there for over 45 minutes. I couldn't hold my tongue anymore, and I told Jackie that the veteran did come in after my grandmother and her response was so rude. I watched her roll her eyes about a thousand times that day, but I didn't expect her to be so rude to me and my grandma. That was totally unacceptable. She told me that we were not next, with so much attitude I had to sternly tell her that my grandma was next. The Veteran was the one that stepped in and corrected her. Jackie seem annoyed that she had to seat us because the man would not take a seat until we were seated. I thanked him, and he said you have to do what is right. On Veterans day, I was reminded of how awesome some people are and how other people- Jackie- need a serious lesson in manners and maturity. How she acted towards two elderly ladies trying to have lunch was indifferent and disrespectful. I had an hour for lunch and only ate for about 10 minutes. My grandma was so upset for me but honestly I'm just mad it happened to her at all because it was a mistake that could have easily been fixed.
When I left she didn't apologize or try at all to be kind. Such a...
