Immediately upon walking into the shop, I noticed three things: there were only three workers(one cook in the back and two up front), they were unorganized and lazy(especially the light red head man with the glasses, we will call him John), and absolutely NOBODY was wearing a mask. The shop was pretty full(Note: everyone was either eating their food or there to study/work), so the bedroom sized area we were confined in felt uncomfortable to take my mask off even a little to take a drink of my bland, cold, and overpriced cappuccino. But we will get there. So as I am walking towards the register, I noticed a fourth young lady come out of the back to refill the drink fountain. As I watched her, I realized she was using a cup to repeatedly fill and dump liquids into the fountain container both without gloves AND when she went to refill the cup, I saw her grip the cup in a way that forces you to hold the cup on the inside of it using your index and middle finger. I started think about the cross contamination, and made sure I refrained from obtaining a drink from the fountain dispenser. Next, when I went to order, it was apparent that John was inattentive and lacks a heavy amount of work ethic(having to repeat myself MANY MANY TIMES, messing up my order, being unclear when he spoke), it completely messed up mine and my friends order while we were ordering. But we decided to give it a chance and remain respectful, as it has only been about 5 minutes. Although, by this point I had already refrained from tipping as well. Next, me and my friend both ordered a coffee and a sandwich each. The coffee took about 15 minutes (by that time it was very cold and not tasty), and the SANDWICHES TOOK 30 MINUTES EACH!! and I’m not exaggerating, possibly even more. I have a life and responsibilities and I was not expecting to be there for over an hour. By the time we got our food, we had to rush to my car and leave. As I was leaving, I also noticed a few things: John was getting really frustrated and, again, I was maintaining my respect. I had only asked him for an eta on the sandwich they had to remake because my friend is allergic to one of the Ingredients that was not specified when she ordered it. So, overall, the staff-2/10, the drink-3/10, the sandwich was ok, and the experience overall was very poor. Tip for owner/employer: add some gloved to you inventory, and for the love of god, fire...
Read morei never leave reviews but i had such bad service here the other day i feel the need to; it was so frustrating i will never bother coming here again. i had a ten minute break from my work down the street and popped in for a coffee. the girl (african american, black glasses, hair in a ponytail) walked up to the register and said nothing to me. no hello, no “what can i get you,” nothing, she literally just stared at me. i work in the service industry too so i figured she was just having a bad day and brushed it off. she takes my order and i go stand at the pickup counter. i’m scrolling through my phone for a few minutes before looking up and realizing no one has even started working on my drink, mind you i was the only one in line and no one had walked in after me. i look and the girl is standing behind the ipad texting. i don’t say anything and assume someone else must be coming to make my drink, but finally a few more minutes go by and she’s still standing there texting!! a gentleman walks in and orders a drip coffee, which she provides and then continues texting. it had been 5+ minutes at this point and no one had started my drink. i didn’t say anything but i was extremely frustrated! a THIRD person comes in, she takes their order, then she walks into the back and comes out with some order receipts (?), and finally starts working on my drink. it had been nearly 10 minutes at this point. a woman walks in and asks about her mobile order, to which this girl replies “it’s gonna be a while i’ve got a lot of orders to make”!!!! she had been standing there texting for nearly ten minutes!!!!!! finally she puts my drink on the counter and asks me “are you waiting on a mobile order?” GIRL you just took my order!!!!! i don’t know how she managed to forget about me in the span of a couple minutes but at that point i was late for work and extremely frustrated after spending $8 on a coffee. awful awful service, i will never be returning here. not sure if management looks through these reviews but if so, please consider some training for this girl. again, i never leave reviews, and i work in the service industry so i understand the frustration, but that was an utter lack of consideration in all accounts. can’t believe anyone would employ...
Read moreTown Center Cold Press is one of my go-to spot for healthy delicious food and drinks including good lattes. During this visit I placed an order for pick-up via DoorDash which is super convenient. However when I arrived I noticed they forgot a sandwich in my order which then took 10 minutes to make. This was on a Saturday at lunch time and they were super slammed.
On this visit I ordered the Avolox sandwich which is one of my favorites and reminds me of NYC for some reason. Also, I ordered "The Perfect Kiss" smoothie or "Smuice" which was so delicious.
As I observed, they did quite well with staffing and quickly making drinks. However, their customer service could really use improvement. All the employees there are young and dressed pretty hip. The clientele range from young Gen Z to Boomers. So it's a wide range of customers coming through for their delicious food and drinks.
A lot of people came in for pick-up and there did not seem to be clear signage for them to know where to pick-up so they end up interrupting the employees making drinks to see if their order was ready. I get the vibe that the employees are unhappy to be there or agitated by customers. I get this vibe every single time I come here. I just keep coming back for the food and drinks. My recommendations for improvement: 1) clear signage on where to pick-up mobile orders; and 2) improved customer service.
Overall, I love the atmosphere. It's a great place to grab lunch and coffee with friends. I love their food and drinks. I do miss their warm bowls which was discontinued when they revamped their menu in 2020. Customer service...
