We made reservations at this location from May 16th - May 19th 2024 for my daughter's wedding. Unfortunately I did not do my research on this hotel first we just went with the plan with everybody else. We arrived around 9:30 pm on the 16th. Upon entering the room automatically you can see stains on the bed skirts. We went straight to the bathroom and after one of us use the bathroom and flush the toilet the toilet overflowed onto the floor. We called the office and they were to send maintenance down to take care of the issue. My husband and I left to do some last-minute shopping for the wedding the next day. Upon coming back to the hotel we noticed that nobody had fixed the toilet. We called the office and they said that they were at the room and nobody answered the door. Show in my experience normally maintenance housekeeping in the office can get into your room for any kind of repairs or anything that is needed. They said they could not get into the room because nobody answered the door and then refuse to send maintenance down once we got back at 11:00. We had to go out and buy our own plunger to take care of the toilet. The bride arrived 5:30 the next morning. Check in wasn't until 3:00. They made reservations but we're told that the room that they selected was not available. They give them a really hard time with checking in. So of course Mama 'me" went to the office to find out what out what the issue was and why they could not get the room that they had reserved. The person in the office proceeded to tell us that check in wasn't until 3:00 at that particular time the only thing was available was a double bed room. This was not okay to me. They were very unclear and did not have any type of communication whatsoever. I proceeded to ask them if my daughter waited until 3:00 to get the room would she get the room that she put in reservations for. The person in the office said because of the fact that they had already checked in and got the double room, even though they have not been in that room yet they never left the parking spot by the office he said that they would be charged twice four of the rooms. Fortunately we finally got that situation taken care of. Show that day on the 17th all the family was coming in from local areas and out of town for the wedding. One of the local family members " grandmother"brought their small dog with them to visit the family that came in from out of town. They were seen coming into my room that I had rented. Immediately after somebody had seen the dog the office called our room and demanded us to get off the property. I really think this has something to do with our disagreement earlier that morning. But they refused to listen to anything that I had to say and was very rude. We did not get any refund back they absolutely refused. So we had to find another hotel in the area to stay at. Unfortunately some of the other family members that had already made reservations how to stay at this hotel after the whole mess had happened. Fortunately the ones that did not make reservations we're able to come to the hotel that I had found. Which was the Red roof and they were amazing and very clean. When we were unloading our stuff to go into the new room. We found two bed bugs in our suitcase. We called Days inn to let them know. They definitely we're not trying to hear it at all. One of the other family members also found a bed bug in the room and when it was brought to their attention and argument was started and they kicked the family member out of the hotel as well. They did not get a refund either other than the day that had not come yet which was Sunday but unfortunately they did not do that until the cops had been called. This hotel is very dirty and very unprofessional. The health department end a family member that is a lawyer has...
Read moreOn the Dec 14th I called the days inn and spoke with Melissa about being able to check-in early around 11am on Dec 15th. Melissa assured me that I could do an early check-in because they still had rooms available. All I would have to do is book now and I would be set for an early check-in. I booked my room through Travelocity. I arrive today at 11 for my early check-in, the current manager had zero clue what I was talking about. He said they were booked up, there wasn't any rooms available for an early check, and nothing was listed in my name for an early check-in. I would have to return at 2 pm the earliest. I couldn't Transfer reservations to another days inn, I was just stuck. So my girlfriend and I waited until 2 to check-in. Once I got the keys we went into the room to take showers because of the long trip. Once we got into bathroom we started noticing bugs crawling on the toilet bowl and around the tub area. My girlfriend freaks out, I run into the other room to get my phone. We saw multiple roaches crawling in and out the toilet, on the tub and behind the door of the bathroom. My girlfriend felt disgusted, unsafe and wanted to leave immediately. We stay no longer than 30 to 40 mins tops. I walk into the lobby, to speak with the manager Melissa, I tell her the situation, I tell her I have the evidence to prove it on my phone. She declines to view my evidence, says she believes me and she can move me to another room. I decline the offer, I informed her that my girlfriend no longer feels safe so we are leaving and would like a full refund. Melissa claims, refunds aren't issued on their behalf because I booked with a 3rd party. I would need to get in contact with with Travelocity. I left and found family nearby to stay with. Once settled in I contact Travelocity for the refund, they call Melissa, Melissa says there wasn't any roaches in the room and that wasn't the reason I left, that i just volunteered to leave. I was enraged, Melissa denied my request for a refund. I had to speak with a Travelocity supervisor, I showed him the pictures & videos proving there is a roach infestation. He agreed an issued a refund on the spot. He also said their team would reach back out to Melissa for lying to them. I would like to have this woman fired immediately!!! I have never been treated with such disrespect, nor have I had an active manager lie about me to a supervisor over a refund. Melissa lied to me! at no point did she say she had final say on who get refunds. Melissa claimed refunds could only get issued by Travelocity, that there was NOTHING they could do on their end. I wasn't rude to Melissa, I didn't cuss or yell at her, I politely asked for a refund. When Melissa said the matter was out of her hands, I left. I don't understand why she would go the extra mile to lie about me to Travelocity. This person doesn't deserve to be an employee anywhere! I can provide screenshots of my conversations with Travelocity and the...
Read moreHonestly we weren’t at all happy with the hotel. I tried to turn the TV on as soon as we arrived to keep my daughter occupied while I got us settled in and it didn’t work. I looked closer at the hardware and noticed a broken cable and reported it within the first 20 minutes of our arrival on the property. We walked down to the lobby after checking into room 213 and took the cord with us to report the situation and the man at the desk got on the radio to have someone from maintenance Vince take a look. No one ever came to our room! The following day around 1030AM we had a knock at the door but it had nothing to do with the TV. Instead we were being questioned about our car which was parked immediately outside of the room. I said “Yes it’s ours” and the man said “OK” and promptly left without addressing anything else. There appeared to be an unsettling amount of trash and broken glass on the floor around and behind the bed and the room was DISGUSTINGLY filthy. I did not allow my daughter or myself to be barefoot or even wear only socks due to the trash and broken glass everywhere on the floor. I ended up sanitizing the bathtub, toilet, sink, fridge, and microwave myself with bleach I originally brought along to disinfect sea shells we found at the beach. There were large holes in the walls and at least 30 BB’s shot and lodged into the walls and it looked like someone just painted over them! I wouldn’t even use the bedding (blankets, sheets, or pillows) in direct contact with our bodies and instead lined over the entire spreads with what we’re supposed to be our beach blankets and towels. There were MANY dead insects and arachnids including their webs located in several places throughout the room. I’ve been in a similar situation before with hotel staff and as soon as they didn’t respond to the TV situation at all I knew it was not worth the effort to complain about anything as we were stuck with the reservation. They refused to give us a receipt upon my request and indicated that since we booked 3rd party that we would receive one via email (which seems to have been true). This place seems to have been a drug haven of some kind as we arrived one evening to find a woman in an adjacent parking space passed out with the doors to her pick up truck wide open and the lights all being on which created a rather traumatic situation for my daughter who lost her mother a few years ago to a drug overdose. We tried to only be in the hotel to sleep and use the shower but it was NOT a relaxing, comfortable stay by any means. My daughter wanted to use the pool but after I saw the conditions of the room itself, I decided against it. You could not PAY ME to have us stay there for another night and NO it was NOT worth $252!!!!!||*Definitely a drug...
