We had drinks from the back bar where we found the bartenders to be fantastic. Although they were unable to make a Manhattan because they didn’t have everything needed to make a Manhattan at the back bar. We then asked for a table. We were placed right next to a very large birthday party and forgotten about for more than 20 minutes. We saw 2 servers attending to tables just feet away from us yet they didn’t once ask us if we needed anything. Apparently, they weren’t responsible for OUR table. Our table was supposed to be attended by the server that was overwhelmed by the large birthday party on our other side. Eventually we were able to gain the attention of the hostess that seated us. We let her know we have had zero contact with the wait staff. The manager came to our table, apologized, took our appetizer order and told us he would send our waitress over immediately. 5 minutes later our waitress came. Took our order and left. The entire time we had been sitting at the table we were without silverware, condiments and napkins. Not a glass of water on the table.our waitress did nothing to change that. Our appetizer arrived brought by a food runner. No. He didn’t bring our silverware, condiments or napkins. Not even a glass of water. We immediately noticed a flying insect was in our appetizer. I went back to the hostess and asked for the same manager to be sent to our table again. When he arrived we started by pointing out the bug in the food. He played as if he didn’t see it so my wife dug right in and pulled the bug out of the cheese and chili that was on our fries and showed it to him. At this point I asked him to give me one of the nonexistent napkins on the table so she could clean her hands and fingers. I also asked where the condiments for the fries were. Admittedly, he was comping our fries for the lack of service to begin with, but that does nothing to compensate for the lack of training of the wait staff and the lack of attention to detail displayed by the manager. We decided to take our buisness elsewhere and let the manager know to cancel our appetizer that he was having remade as well as the three entrees we had ordered for dinner. In an attempt to make himself feel better he wanted to repay us for one of the two drinks we both had received from the back bar, which i declined. The drinks were not the problem. Like I said, the bartenders were fantastic. I tipped them 25% on both round we bought from them. This establishment could be a great place, but I would not go back for dinner. Drinks on the other hand… I’ll see you at the back bar.

We have been here several times in the last yr or so. Everything is overpriced tourist trap. Food is terrible every time. Seats or tables, gd luck with that . Consistently a bunch of rude kids in the place . Weak drinks and crazy expensive , especially when they try to push the cheap watermans vodka. Bathroom is always trashed and urine everywhere . The setup has potential but they are doing nothing w it . Inside is plain Jane white room w no decor . Hope your on bike or walk n as parking is scarce . The security is by tidal and they have given me and the Mrs a terrible experience here and other places at the oceanfront . Tidal is rude , and go out of their way to create issues and drama everytime . Notice the brisket w 6 fries , had a dot of bbq the size of a fingertip . Dry sandwich the ducks wldnt eat n the water even. This place is a total let down for locals . Just another tourist trap !

Visited The Shack for the first time this weekend and had a great time. A fun place for adults to hang out with friends near the beat especially on a nice day. The crushes are tasty but I will admit that some are better than others. The standard margarita crush is not that great, but if you add some flavor with the strawberry crush you might get a better taste. The black cherry lime aid crush is also tasty. The surprising part here for me was the food. I will tuna bites were not that great ( I ordered medium rare) they came well done instead. The mozzarella sticks were awesome though. They are huge! Crispy cheesy and large enough to catch your eye from afar. I didn’t order them originally and become surprised , I saw a runner bring them to someone else, asked what they were and it was magic from there. If you at the beach and want to meet up with friends this is the place to do it !

This place was absolutely terrible. We arrived on Monday evening. We ordered the Mac n Cheese bowl, Nachos and chips and salsa. The Mac n cheese bowl was the worst dish I have ever paid for or tried. The noodles were hard the cheese was old, they added BBQ sauce and sour and what tasted like expired coleslaw. I have no idea why they would try to mess up such an easy dish. But they did. The nachos also had potential but stale chips. The chips and salsa again stale chips and salsa that tasted like it had watermelon flavor. We paid $47 dollars and gave the lady $60 (3) $20 bills. And she looked at me and said oh I'm sorry I don't have any change and no one's. Do you want change? And I said yes absolutely. And she said well I guess I can ask the bar. And I said do what you have to. And she said she would bring us change. 25 mins later after she didn't serve us because she was stuffing her face with French fries she came over and gave us the wrong change and said I couldn't find you? We were 2 of 5 people in the Shack. When she handed me the change she just stood there expecting a tip. She didn't do anything to deserve a tip she didn't even wait on us we went to the desk to order. To finish off the horrible night a huge cockroach was crawling on the floor and ate something that was on the floor. And it died right there. Save your money, do not eat here. It is not worth your time or money. Maybe grab just a drink. One would definitely need to be drunk first...

What a disappointment. We had a party of 11 consisiting of 4 adults and 7 kids. We assumed this place was a good option because they literally say at their entrance they are a family friendly venue. This was farthest from the actual state of things. We ordered 7 waters for the kids and mostly burgers and Mac and cheese. Food arrived far before drinks. When drinks did arrive, we were missing simply 1 water for one of the kids. We asked again. The more of the food ordered arrived. At this point we have been here an hour and asked now 3 times for the missing drink and ate still waiting on the last dish. We escalate and 10 minutes later are told they are out of something and could not make the dish. Our server blames the kitchen, kitchen blames server. During this time we needed to take children to the bathroom. We have 5 small boys total. The men's room is an absolute disgusting mess. There is one stall and it's missing the door. There is only one men's room but two ladies. No family room. So if your a man who cares for your kids, your out of luck. I have been in divebars in Las Vegas with better service and amenities. I'm gonna be honest here, this place sucks. I ordered the fried seafood plate for $29. The fish, crab cakes and shrimp were of the same quality I would expect at a Long John Silver in Nevada not from a beach side location on the east coast. Both flavor, quality and portions were pathetic. Save your time, money and sanity, go literally...
