We were very excited as we made plans to go here with a group of friends. While I can't quite round it up to 3 stars, it's deserving of a little more than a 2-star rating due to one exceptional aspect of the evening. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the girl hosting the music bingo trivia. Her energy and witty humor were nothing short of amazing. The music added another layer of enjoyment to our experience. Our server, though not exceptional, was decent.
However, the real letdown was the food. Despite its enticing presentation in reviews, the reality didn't measure up. We ordered medium-cooked burgers, but they arrived well done and lacked any distinct flavor. Even the buns and the meat itself seemed devoid of taste. Considering the $16 price tag, it was disappointing that we only ate half of our burgers. The fries were passable but not remarkable, a 5 out of 10. We also tried the pretzel bites, which were decent largely due to the accompanying cheese sauce, probably just a 3rd party bulk purchased cheese sauce. Regrettably, the pretzel bites didn't resemble true pretzel bread but tasted more like toasted dough balls. Compare these to actual places that serve a true and real pretzel and there’s no comparison.
It's possible that the restaurant is opting for cost-effective ingredients, but it's impacting the overall experience. After paying $65, including the tip, and leaving half the food uneaten, I couldn't help but feel disappointed. Besides being well done when we ordered medium, it wasn’t like it just was cooked wrong tonight. There just wasn’t any flavor sadly. I sincerely wanted to love this place, and it pains me to leave a negative review. If the quality of the food improves, we'd be more than willing to give it...
Read moreFirst let me start off by saying this isnt a bad 3. We came in around 9ish when we were sat noone greeted us about (10 minutes) until someone from the kitchen saw us and gave us to a server who took awesome care of us. We ordered the sweet potato hushpuppies and the pimento cheese for apps. I also tried the chicken and pickle soup which was good. For entrees we had shrimp and grits and the triple p burger with crab fries. The housemade chips with the cold pimento cheese dip were good. The hushpuppies needed more sauce (just my preference) but were huge and tasty. Shrimp and grits just needed something more, ive had better elsewhere however our server said they are a good seller. The triple P burger was good you definitely have to like pork because it lives up to its name, my burger needed more of the root beer bbq sauce. My crab fries were very salty but im assuming it was in their seafood seasoning that they use. I couldnt finish them and i like seasoning but that was a bit much. We were going to order dessert but they ran out of the cinnamon roll bread pudding. So we are going to have to go back for that...i will try them again so stay tuned...
Read moreI had high hopes for the place. Walked in and was sat quickly. Was not busy at 1:30 on Saturday during Memorial Day weekend which was a surprise. Jorge came to take our order with his trainee. Order was taken and food came out quickly. I had the Boardwalk Chicken sandwich. It was ok just not what I was expecting so I took that hit. However that is the only positives. My fries were ice cold. I would have loved to give them a chance to replace them but we never had Jorge or his trainee ever stop back by the table after our food was dropped off. I watched both of them standing often in the drink galley or near the bar as my drink sat empty. As we finished the meal he finally came back over pushing their mobile pay system towards us and finally asking if we needed anything. We asked for refills and after he dropped them off he disappeared again. Long enough for us to have to ask the bartender for our check. I was wanting to try one of their desserts but decided I didn’t have that much time to sit and wait. Keep in mind this was a very slow Saturday and Jorge was training another wait staff. I promise you I am not impressed nor...
