I have to start by saying I am very sad to have to write this review as I am often ordering takeout from bertuccis because the Sporkie is probably my favorite pizza ever. Tonight we decided to dine in to celebrate our first week of being and engaged couple, and driving the 40 minutes to your location, however we had the unfortunate experience of having Diana as our server. As soon as we sat down, she clearly did not seem thrilled to be our server, she took our drink orders and then walked away and didn’t even ask us if we wanted anything else or an appetizer, which we wanted to order but she walked away before we could order it. After she had brought us our drinks she never came back to refill them and we sat with empty drinks for about 15 minutes, until I saw her with another table and had to ask for a refill. Then we waited about 35 minutes for the appetizer we ordered to come out. We ordered the five meatballs that was supposed to have whipped ricotta cheese on top, but I noticed the ricotta cheese was not on top of it I mentioned something to her and she shrugged her shoulders and she goes “yeah it’s supposed to be on their but…” and then shrugged her shoulders. She did offer to bring me a side of whipped ricotta cheese though which I appreciate however why did she even bring us a dish that she knew was not made correctly and we were spending our hard-earned money on? Then when our food, or should I say only my fiancés food, finally came out, We then sat there for another 12 minutes without getting my food while my fiancé‘s food was getting cold. We went up to her and asked for an update, to which she shrugged her shoulders again, after that we told her to take the item off, the rigatoni abruzzi , because we were not waiting any longer after this horrible service, she did not apologize or acknowledge anything she just handed the check to us and walked away. I truly hope you address this with her and this location because the utter disgust of this service, not to mention all the dishes and lack of busing of tables was extremely disappointing and disgusting to the point where I will not...
Read moreWe have ordered from Bertucci’s a dozen times and always enjoyed the food. Tonight was a different story- and so bad that we will likely never return. TLDR: it took 3 hours to get our order and the pizza was inedible. See photo. Order at your own risk.
We ordered through Grubhub and our order was delayed multiple times. My husband called to check in and they said it would not take as long as Grubhub was estimating and that they were just behind because of their BOGO pizza deal on Tuesdays. BOGO pizza deal? Uhhh well we paid full price through Grubhub. The manager was shocked to learn the discount doesn’t show up for Grubhub customers. First issue. My husband very politely explained how long we’ve been waiting and we were offered a future free pizza. Fine.
More delays later our order is randomly cancelled via Grubhub. My husband calls again. They are shocked to learn the order was cancelled… not sure how that works but ok… so they tell him the pizzas just came out of the oven and they will give them to us for free if I want to come get it. Fine. Off I go to pick it up.
I show up at the restaurant, which was empty by the way, except for a few people waiting for takeout. Come to find out our order is NOT ready. There was no presence from the manager. He came around to put some things into the POS system and never acknowledged any of the weary customers who had been waiting for hours. Never apologized, and never even appeared to have any sense of urgency to get the restaurant back on track.
Finally the pizza was done and it was absolutely disgusting. The dough was practically uncooked yet the cheese was burned. We threw it away. After over 3 hours of waiting, we were left hungry.
If a pizza restaurant can’t manage to make pizzas- the literal bare minimum- what else isn’t being managed there? Are the employees washing their hands? Makes you wonder. We’re so turned off by the ridiculous wait, poor food quality and lack of management intervention that we will likely not return. It’s very disappointing because we previously loved it. But this experience was...
Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience at this location. I was very excited to come here because I hadn't been to a Bertucci's in years, since my local one closed down. We arrived at around 7:30pm on a random Tuesday, so it was not overly crowded at all. We were seated at an isolated table in the middle of the floor, and we asked the young hostess if they had any booths available. She told us she would check with her manager and get back to us, but to sit at the table for now. My partner and I sat for 15 minutes and no one ever served us. No update on the booth, no server welcoming us, no water, nothing. It had been a long day at work and me and my partner had both been fasting, and at least expected that we'd be given drinks at this point. I tried to flag down an older, male waiter but he avoided eye contact and kept walking. Meanwhile, the tables around us were all being appropriately waited on and served. At this point we no longer cared about where we were seated, we just wanted to be served and break our fast. I finally stood up and called out to the waiter and explained we had been waiting at least 15 minutes and no one had come up to us. He told us he'd be there in a minute, but then said he'd take our order right then. We very quickly decided what we wanted and ordered. I asked the waiter if a certain dish could be made without chicken, and he said "what, so you don't eat chicken?" and then turned to my partner and said "do you eat chicken? I can put it on the side." I said if it's any trouble then I can just order something else instead, which I did. He took our orders and left, but at this point the mood was ruined, the dinner was ruined, the night was ruined, and we still hadn't broken our fast. We canceled our order and drove 15 minutes to Olive Garden, which had much better service and similar food. I recommend there instead. Very disappointing...
