Mas Tequila — Restaurant in Bristol

Love the look, well lit and theme proper decor. Got chips/salsa, cheese dip, a kids meal, quesabirria, and ACC (steak/cheese/rice).

The salsa bar has 8 options on top of the salsa they bring with your chips, of the 8 options 5-6 of them were empty so I can’t rate them. The few I did try lacked any flavor beyond just heat or cilantro.

The salsa they bring out with the chips is pretty solid, no complaints. The cheese dip had good flavor, but was only a stitch above lukewarm at best, wasn’t cold, but definitely lukewarm/just above room temp.

The kids meal, no complaints, kid was satisfied, good portion, and good price. Entree/meal prices are very fair too!

The quesabirria was a big hopeful, good tortillas, the shredded beef needs more flavor, the dip needs more flavor, it wasn’t much above just being seasoned water, that’s not being ugly, just being descriptive. The rice with the quesabirria was just above room temp at best.

The ACC was bangin’ lacked in serving temp, but good flavors. Good value.

I’m hoping they do well here, could use some improvements in food temp for our specific orders, it’s on the track to possibly be good with more seasoning, better food serving temperature. Could possibly give it another shot in future once they work out the bugs, I think it’s a new place.

The decor is really cute. We ordered fajitas and they were tasty. The rice was absolutely delicious and their salsa bar is also very good. The fajitas were just a bit dry, but still good with the tortillas and toppings.

Our waitress seemed a little flustered. While we were eating, she blatantly asks “are you ready for the check”. I have no problem getting the check mid meal, but she asked it in a somewhat hasty tone. I said yes but that we were still eating, and she said that was fine, she just wanted to know if we were getting dessert or not. Personally, I think it’s nicer to say “here’s the check for your convenience, but if you need anything else please don’t hesitate to let me know”. After we finished eating, we paid and she brought the card back and just set it on the table and walked away. She didn’t say “thank you for coming” or anything. She only said something while we were walking out the door. I don’t think she’s a rude girl, I just think she might need some additional training.

Overall, we enjoy taco riendo and el patio more than this place, but it’s worth a try for those of you that like...

The food was great! However service was pretty bad... Our server was extremely rude and often wouldn't come back to the table. The first thing she said to us when we asked how she was doing was something along the lines of "I've been here since 10am, haven't gotten a break and I want to take as few steps as possible" We even had other servers wait on us... There were seven of us with two chip baskets, when one was empty I politely asked for more, our server returned setting the chips on the table and rudely saying "There's more down there you know" and left. We had to go up front to get refills of water twice. It was also insanely hot in there to the point all of us were sweating.
