Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Walla Walla

My wife and I stopped at the Walla Walla, WA Jack in the Box early in the afternoon, Wednesday, 11/2/2022. We each order a Homestyle Ranch Chicken Club sandwich and one order of fries to split between us and a drink apiece, since we are senior citizens and can't eat much at one sitting. Having not been to a Jack in the Box for quite some time and having never ordered those sandwiches before I wasn't sure what to expect.

The first thing I noticed was that my sandwich was exceedingly spicy hot. I figured that must be the way that sandwich comes, so continued trying to eat it. I finally mentioned how spicy hot it was to my wife and she said hers was not spicy hot at all. She tasted mine and could hardly eat a bite.

Evidently, the staff put spicy hot chicken on my sandwich and then built it like a Homestyle Ranch Chicken Club, bacon and all. I could not finish my sandwich it was so overwhelmingly hot.

Secondly, I noticed that the soles of my shoes were sticking to the floor near our table where there had evidently been a spill that hadn't been cleaned up, plus in all the time we were there the table next to us was left with bits of food on it from a previous customer.

I seldom complain about such things but this sort of thing really does not do your brand any good at all, and I felt that it fell too far short of the basic service that customers should be able to expect. Assembling a sandwich/meal correctly and giving the customers what they ordered should not...

Rapunzel works here! Seriously, I will explain. To begin, my meal came to $18 with an upcharge from a drink to a shake. For $18 I would expect a quality meal... but oh no ..... not at this sorry excuse for a Jack in the Box. It was the 2nd or 3rd handful of magical fries that turn to mush when I noticed a hair in my mouth. Like anyone else would do I instinctively grabbed it and began to pull it out of my mouth. This hair, the end I grabbed in my mouth, had already reached my stomach. As I pulled and pulled chunks of food would be tangled within the hairy web that nearly made me vomit each time one of those chunks traveled the wrong direction up the back of my tongue. The hair had no end in sight. I pulled and pulled for what seemed like an eternity. I believe, I officially swallowed one of Rapunzels hairs. Absolutely grotesque and Jack needs to reel that hair in because after reading the reviews I am not the first victim of a Rapunzel hair grilled into their food. No, it could not have been mine, I have short hair, I travel alone and I do not have any friends or family who have let their hair grow since birth. This hair was cooked into the food. Sure, I could ask for a new meal but you know what? There is no meal on this planet, with or without the company of a celebrity, that would make this experience worth it. I truly wouldn't even give this a one-star but to give a review you have to give something that was the worst customer service ever in my life not only that he tried to tell me he didn't have any fried foods sandwiches or burgers all he had was snacks then I asked him to give me a minute and when I came back he said oh fine just tell me what you want and I'll make it on top of him lying and stating that he was the only employee working when I pulled up to the window there was a nice young lady who was very nice so I asked for the gentleman who took my order she said oh my manager yeah one minute when he finally came to the window I was simply trying to tell him that he should not lie and say that he's the only employee when there is somebody else and that the district manager would not like him lying like that he proceeded to roll his eyes and cop an attitude about it I ended up driving away and not getting my food there and went to the Taco Bell right around the corner this is unacceptable unprofessional and not okay when I went to Taco Bell they told me that's a nightly occurrence that Jack in the box says that they're either closed or don't have anything available except for snack items this is very unprofessional and not okay and I hope Jack in the box takes...
