While back in Walla Walla visiting, we decided to make a second visit to Wingman. Food was amazing our server (Kelly or kaylee I think, younger with purple In her hair) was just an absolute delight; engaging, friendly, so helpful (even when we asked a million questions). We enjoyed ourselves so much, we stuck around to just enjoy ourselves.
Up until that point I would say we would have said we would be back again no doubt! I’m not exactly certain what happened but I think a table was upset as possibly they had been waiting. Long story short there was a dark haired waitress who was standing watching, getting more upset (which was obvious to all). Another gal with short blonde hair went up and spoke with them at which time our waitress started to walk up to table but was stopped by gal who had just talked to them. Our waitress walked back towards back of restaurant.
Next thing we know the dark haired waitress was yelling at our waitress. I don’t mean talking loudly, I mean yelling and honestly it startled me initially. I felt so bad for our waitress , as she was clearly attempting to not engage back and I overheard her at one time trying to explain and was quickly and loudly told she was lying (which we knew she wasn’t as we had witnessed it all)
Bottom line, I was in disbelief that an employee would act in such a way, and even more so that they would do it in front of customers!! I was wanting to say something or speak to someone but my husband said we should not add to the already chaotic issue.
But I will say, I still do not understand how come the dark haired waitress just watched and paced back and forth (not to tables, we watched ) yet never felt the need to maybe step in and help rather than watch.
I wish we had seen our server prior to leaving as I wanted to tell her how sorry we were that she had to deal with that. As for the dark haired server, you should most certainly take some kind of class on professionalism and manners! This is what may keep us from returning. We can’t support a place that allows employees to behave...
Read moreIf I could put a below zero review I would. I sat down and ordered a beer to a waitress who was across the table from me. She randomly left in the middle of me ordering! The next thing I know a man comes up and informs our table that we cant drink because we "smell like booze.". Never mind I hadn't had a drink in hours and had spent the last hour walking around Walla Walla. Never mind when I did last have a drink... hours ago.... I had had a glass of red wine at my Airbnb (not booze)!!! Nevermind there was no way in hell she smelled my glass of wine from hours previous from across the table. We were literally discriminated against for not fitting into their (flannel bearded 20 plus aged hipster
Read moreI am so sad writing this review, because I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and it takes a really bad experiencefor me to leave a bad review. I was going through Walla Walla and planned my trip for this stop. I won't go back. The hostess basically tried to talk me out of coming in at the door, and I wish I would have left then. She said it was a tap takeover and would be busy and noisy. I was fine with that and chose to stay. I ordered wings and a cider. Simeone said that everyone got a ticket, and more if they bought the product from the featured company. I never got the tickets and when I asked, the waiter told me he was told he had to turn over the table because there was a reservation for it. I got annoyed looks from the hostess and others as I finished my dinner. I feel like she should have just told me that a reservation was required. The food was okay, but not great. Definitely not worth the hostility. The cider was good. I may go there at some point. There are too many great places in Walla Walla to waste my time and...
