Well we've been to the one near Napa many times before, with the food always being delicious and the service great. The atmosphere there is also what I enjoy more which is an outdoor country Southern setting. The setting in Walnut Creek is obviously downtown, so not exactly the same but still very enjoyable I must say. Plenty of outdoor seating that spanned around the block corner because the restaurant is on the corner of the street. The walls to the restaurant are... 'open' during business hours and it's very pleasant– I know that must sound strange, and I'm not exactly sure how they do it. We ordered 2 the pineapple Burgers, a couple orders of onion rings, a hazy beer and a Gott's frozen wine slushy type drink (for the lady). The burgers and onion rings and beer were delicious as usual. The wine slushie drink was eh. Now, the only reason I understandably gave service 3-stars was because I waited at the bar to order the drinks, and waited easily for 10 minutes. Nobody was back there the entire time. There were two couples sitting at the bar enjoying their food and drinks already. I looked around and asked a lady that was at the cash register nearby if there was anyone working back near the bar because I've been waiting for 10 minutes, and they said they'd be right there. So I wait, and wait, and wait. Still nobody. 5 more minutes goes by, the girl apparently finishes with her duties and sees that I'm still waiting looking directly at her and finally gets the hint, looks around doesn't see whoever is supposed to be back there and then comes behind the bar and says may I help you. I kind of looked at her with a look of like aren't you going to admit you were wrong– and then she looks down at the ground knowing I've been waiting for a while, finally apologizes and serves the drinks. It could have ruined somebody's time or Vibe if somebody wanted to make a big deal of it. I didn't. Just got the impression I didn't want to go back, and I would look forward to going to the Napa...

The atmosphere is very casual, a lot of fun, great employees, quality food, and something for everyone on the menu. It is outdoor dining only which is part of their charm. They have a large grassy area with long wooden picnic tables, oversized umbrellas that provide ample shade, some tables on the patio (in the ordering area), and then there is a large parking area with stalls if you want to eat in your car instead.
Gott’s is ALWAYS busy, typically too busy for me as I am the type of person that will quietly leave if there is a line and go elsewhere. However, Gott’s has great energy at their locations, everyone including customers waiting in line are upbeat, nobody is grumbling or complaining, and you forget that you’re in line. The line is constantly moving anyway, they are really fast, and their efficiency is superb! Plus, if this style of food is what you’re in the mood for then it is definitely worth the wait, even for me! 😉
The food:
Let me start by saying that I am not a burger person AT ALL! I have easily gone a year or more without eating one or even thinking about one. However, Gott’s is definitely a top choice if I am with someone that is craving burgers or know they love burgers. Every burger lover that I have brought here has been very pleased. I also love their shakes, fries, veggie options, and everything I have tried so far has been great. They have a lot more on their menu than just burgers and I definitely appreciate the QUALITY of their ingredients. That is very important to me and one of the reasons that I like them.
Overall, a very casual but definitely higher quality burger place with abundant options to...
Read moreIt was the first time I had gone to this restaurant formerly the space was a soup restaurant. I had asked the person taking the order to recommend what he felt this restaurant did better and he was gracious enough to give me his opinions and a brief history of the place. It had originally opened its first location in Napa and now here in Broadway Plaza. They had a very different array of items and my girlfriend chose conservatively and I did what he recommended. After ordering your given a pager to alert you that your meal is ready and they have both indoor and outdoor seating and you seat yourself. We had a lovely day and Broadway plaza was hustling and bustling so we decided to sit outdoors looking out onto the street and shoppers. I had gotten back to where she was sitting because I ordered for the two of us and the prices were not cheap but not expensive either. My girlfriend noticed that two seats down in a booth the individual looked like Stephen Curry of our very own Golden State Warriors. This was literally a few days from winning the championship. At first I was thinking she was crazy but she was very correct. She wanted an autograph but I said if she was gonna bother them do it when they are leaving. I don’t think anyone really noticed that it was him and his wife but us because next to them was a table of thirteen year old girls. My girlfriend asked for autograph and I thanked him for bringing yet another championship to the Bay Area. Getting back to my meal, it was delicious and it was somewhere I’d return again as soon as I can because you will never know who you just may run into at Broadway Plaza. And this day it was the chef (Mrs. Curry)and her husband. ...
