Usually I enjoy eating hear with my family, however when I had a date this afternoon with my daughter. We had the worst experience thus far. We arrived at noon time with a fairly empty restaurant. We were seated at a booth on a step, which would normaly be fine but my daughter is 4 years old. While waiting for our waitress she decided she wanted to sit next to me so we ended up cramped in a 1 person seat, ultimately my fault for not requesting something larger. After sitting, our waitress sauntered over after 25 min. Part way through the wait I was going to request service but decided to see how long it would take on their own. When she finally came over, she asked for our drink order and then asked about any appetizers. We placed our drink and app order and before I could mention we were ready to order she was running off. In the mean time other people who were her customers had sat, ordered, and been served. She return about 8 min later with the drink and app order, and asked if we were ready to order our meals. I said yes and placed the order. She then scurried away and placed the order. I gave my daughter some of the apps and went to grab a straw for her drink only to find the waitress didn't leave any. I tried to raise the attention of our waitress, however she was nowhere to be found. I was lucky enough to catch the attention of another waitress and asked her if we could get any straws, she said yes and walked away returning a couple minutes later with straws. Our food arrived about 15 to 20 minutes later. The food was only ok at best, but we ate it. I had mentioned to our waitress that I would be ordering a togo meal toward the end of our dining, she came as we were done and asked if we wanted to wrap anything up. I mentioned that I still had to place the order in which she took and placed. The salad I ordered was then brought back to the table about 15 minutes later along with the bill. During our meal, my daughter an I were playing games on the little computer things on the table at which one point it stopped working, we started to play again being charged another fee to play unlimitted games. We then went to use the computer thing to pay for our meal, which again was not working. Finding our waitress again was a task so that we could pay for our meal. She came by and then tried to make the thing work as if I couldn't figure it out, and then finally took my card out back to run it. The only time she returned with any speed was bring back the receipt. The whole time we were there the manager kept looking at us as he walked back and forth to the front desk. Then on the way out he simple said thanks for coming and have a nice day, never asking how our experience was. I would probably never come back to this store but its close and my daughter loves going there. In closing I have to say to our waitress Liliana thanks for giving me the worst service I have ever received in any restaurant, and I hope you enjoy the tip you didn't earn...
Read moreToday my family of four decided to come to this establishment.. I really wish I had a better review but this is exactly what happened today . 03/18/2025 .. we walked in and told it was a 15-20 min wait with a 85% empty restaurant ..we waited about 25-30 minutes. Then we are told we can sit . My daughter is 4 . My son is 6 . Keep that in mind please . The hostess sat us down and we sat for 45 minutes without one person coming to the table . My children wanted lunch . I was watching everyone be served . People that came in after us had food . After waiting over one hour total we gave up . I asked the hostess if she had any idea when we can order food and she said . Oh you haven't been served I said no this is why im asking when we can be served . She went to find a waitress and another 5-10 minutes passed with again nobody helping us . So we decided to leave . We made it out the door to the parking lot . When the hostess ran out the door yelling that she would personally take our drink order . I almost laughed if it wasn't so damn sad . My son was starving he has health issues and needed food I didn't think it would take over one hour for a chicken strip . He was crying . The hostess is yelling .. my son also is autistic and people yelling and running g near him triggers different emotions . This time it was bad because he has never been in a restaurant and not been served . I tip 35-50 % every single ti.e we eat out because I have worked in the food industry over 30 years . He's never had anyone yelling st his mother in a parking lot either it . If you have a child that is autistic you completely get whst Im Saying . Any changes in a usual patern is a nightmare . We went to the 99 down the street and had a nice meal . The hostess asked how my day was going I said we just sat over one hour to get food and it didn't go good . He says red Robin? I said actually yes it was red Robin. He said another party arrived complaining about how bad it was i left a 75% tip and a great review like I normally do. It really is true you never know who is reviewing your food and who has millions of views per post . I don't look like I do and that's why I love doing this for normal people . We all need to share our experiences and look out for eachother to have the best experiences life can give us . I really wish it went better I had a great meal planned for myself and my family . I really do not recommend this place I give it a zero .
Disabled/elderly people please be careful on the floors .. its like they washed them in grease very slippery . I left here feeling worse than when I went in . Very very...
Read moreThe burgers at Red Robin, as usual, are great. My wife had a turkey burger, and she loved it. My chicken entree was good, too, but I needed the salad to help balance the seasoning on the breast. The servers are helpful and polite. It just seems that these days, it is a bit harder to get a timely refill of salad or fries (both supposed to be bottomless).
I actually think it may be the "pay and go" device that makes the disconnect. Once the entrees were delivered, the server made the initial check-in, "Everything ok?" But then only came back after 20 minutes or more to remind us that we could just use our card in the pay and go machine. I had been waiting to ask for more salad to finish my meal, but had waited so long, I wasn't interested anymore, and packed my second breast to go.
This little pay and go device lets you order: apps, dessert, or re-order drinks, and finally, pay the bill. It doesn't let you call the server or re-order fries/salad. A small thing, because, if I need to, I can yell for a server. It's just odd that you can spend more money (order apps, dessert, drinks), but you can't request more included items (salad, fries) with this "convenience device." As with self-checkout, it seems more "convenient" for the corporation than it does for me.
Still, the food was brought quickly, and it was tasty. The beer (Red Robin's own brand) was cold and delicious and came right away. We'll certainly be back. In the beginning, I'm just going to mention, to the server, that we'd like to see them mid-meal for...
