We went to Cheddar's in Warner Robins for the first time. Have never been to any Cheddar's before. The food was really really good. One of our group did not enjoy the pepper coating on their steak, I'm not sure if that was in the description on the menu though. The building is lovely, but the floors going out I noticed had obvious spills on them, and were dirty. The table we were sat at was also dirty. There was sticky residue on the table from drinks, and on the edges from food. The greeter who sat us never smiled and seemed very unhappy to be at work. The server also was not pleasant. She wasn't unpleasant, but the getting was cursory and not very friendly. She did everything we asked, but the smile and genuine friendly atmosphere we're used to in the South was completely missing. We overheard the servers and possibly the greeter arguing about who had to service what tables and the distribution of work. Our croissants were put on the table without individual posts good is to eat off of. We just used our hands and tried to wipe the crumbs away. After the croissants were served we waited over thirty minutes to just get our salads, which should have come out immediately. The table behind us had to have someone over to get drinks, even though their food had already been served. We waited so long even after the salads were served just to get our food that we were discussing leaving and going somewhere else. I understand the food is made in house, but we were there mid afternoon in the middle of the week. The delay in service and the attitudes of the greeter and wait staff was really unacceptable. I read reviews before trying new restaurants, so I was a bit surprised about how abysmal the service really was. I see really good reviews, interspersed with the poor reviews, which is normal. Everyone had a bad day, but to me this reflects directly on management. The manager should be aware at all times of what is happening on the floor. I never saw anyone who appeared to be the manager. Unhappy staff always reflects directly on management not staffing correctly, and not being concerned about the welfare and happiness of their...
Read moreOnce we arrived and put our name on the list, we were quoted a 45 minute wait. After an hour of waiting, we approached the host stand and asked where we were on the list. (guests who came in after us were bet before us) The hostess rep that she had tried to contact the number that was given and did not get an answer (this was a LIE - as we were waiting in and outside of the lobby with no missed calls or texts to the number provided). After learning of the mistake, the hostesses apologized and said that the restaurant was down SIX servers who did not show up for work. They then assured us that they would get a table together.
After being led by the hostess to our table, we were told to stay standing and wait because the table was being cleaned. (Why take us to the table if it’s not ready?) After 10 minutes, the poor busser (who looked like the was the only one) had cleaned the table so that we could sit.
We were greeted, and a server took our drink order. My father ordered a Glass of wine- the server comes back and says sorry we are out of that wine… So he switches and orders a beer- server comes back AGAIN and says sorry we are out of that beer.
Needless to say we’re we’re beginning to get frustrated. After placing our food orders (salads, tender meal, kids meals) we then waited over 45 minutes- still no food. The server stops by to see how we were doing, and we told her that we were not doing well.
At this point my father decided that it would be best to have the food boxed up because he was tired of waiting and was ready to go home. So he took the kids out and we waited for the food to be boxed up. When the server came back to the table, we were told that everything on the order to be boxed up was there- EXCEPT for the hot honey tenders that were ordered.😡
So we waited AGAIN for 15 minutes for the tenders to be delivered…
To make amends for all of the issues, we were given A $10 GIFT CARD.
This restaurant has gone downhill and needs serious attention. I hope someone at Darden can look into this because the manager was nowhere...
Read moreTo the reply: Your managers BOTH have my email. Haven't reached out to me at all. Only wished to do so in house, and I was more embarrassed by all the attention the situation garnered and seems it wasn't for my benefit. Sorry but you all failed!
Well, I guess on who you are, And what you order, whether or not you would be happy.
The place keeps their AC so cold, that by the time the food makes it from the kitchen to your table, its cold!
The only thing worth the 1st time visit was the service.
Not a fan of having to wait for another steak, still cold and a worsecut than the 1st, with grizzle, more fst I lovr snd ate due to rxtreme hunger by then, but very undercooked, practically raw, hard to cut. *See image "I guess by this point I already waited so long. They wanted to get it out fast.
Not a fan of not being able to eat along with my husband.
Everything but the ribs he had was cold, spicy or heavily drenched in oil and unedible.
Management overly nice, Not 1 but 2 of them came over to address our dissatisfaction. *We're not ones to complain regardless, and after living here 3+ years of seeing an always packed parking lot, we expected better.
Not sure why they asked for my email, said they would send a gift card, I've yet to receive. Probably won't. be back! But don't offer just to make your restaurant look good. **I'm one who leans in and whispers my issues, so not to bring attention to myself or announce any problem exists. I'm embarrassed when two managers have to come over and talk to me because it's obvious there's an issue with something.
Apparently, they do care about getting the food to the table as fast as possible, they have food runners to help lighten the load on the weightstaff. But our food surely didn't meet that goal.
Other than the extremely spicy shrimp which the waitress seemed surprised of ad stated it wasn't supposed to be.
I'll leave it here for those to decide if this place is worth spending your time and hard-earned $. I went...
