Cafe Phillips — Restaurant in Washington

$2.00 FOR A SLICE OF CHEESE???? I went to Cafe Philips because they are located in the building that I work in. I also had a coupon for 2.00 off for any sandwich. I go to Philips and order my sandwich. When I get to the cashier, I notice she charge me the regular price for my sandwich. I explained that I had a coupon for $2.00 off . Her response was "oh the cheese is $2.00 extra" I could not believe it who charges $2.00 for cheese. I should have thrown the sandwich at her., but I left it on the counter and walked out. Had Reuben with sauerkraut and REAL Russian dressing at least twice now. Gooey cheese, piping hot bread. I don't know how in the world this place has so few positive reviews. In addition, they have a great selection of drinks. Multi flavors of Joe's drinks, Snapple, etc. No plain coke and Pepsi offerings here. Staff has been more than pleasant even when it's really crowded. I would give them five stars but the seating is strange. I normally go there for morning coffee or espresso. Which is very good! But today I choose to go for lunch big mistake! Their prices are crazy as hell. $10.99 for a Turkey sandwich maybe the going rate for the area, but 2.00 for 1 slice of cheese.
