Everyone will have their opinion on thick, thin, large, small, crispy, chewy, or brownie-texture cookies.
After hearing a few friends talk about this new cookie shop in our area and how awesome they were, I had to buy one cookie and try them out. Yes, only one cookie because I am a cookie hound, and I wouldn't put it past myself to eat several ;)
Crumbl Cookies was on my radar, a recently opened cookie store fresh to our area. I understand there to be a few hundred Crumbl Cookie stores all around the United States, with the first store opening in Utah in 2017.
One interesting thing that can be equally good and bad is the Crumbl stores change out their cookies every week and only offer five or six cookie selections at a time. If you find your favorites and want more throughout the month, there is an equal chance you may or may not get them, depending on how many flavors they have and if they eventually do a repeat cycle, if you know what I mean! On the other hand, this allows the consumer to try different flavors, some of which you may have never thought sounded good or tasted good.
Being my first time there, I wasn't sure how to order, was it on the computers, or if I could place an order to one of the several people there, just for one single cookie.
I asked the gentleman working there if I could place an order for a single cookie on the computer, and he said, "pretty sure you can." Honestly, I wasn't sure how to take that comment. Was he being sarcastic, or maybe he was just a new employee? The tone sounded a little snarky to me. As I placed my order, I kept thinking, "I hope this cookie is worth almost five dollars for it (over five with tax and a small tip"); yes, one single cookie. I ordered the chocolate chip cookie, and minutes later, they presented me with a cookie in their signature pink box. I bid my farewells, and off home, I went!
So, hubby and I broke into the cookie; it made me feel a little better spending that much money on a single cookie, being the cookie was so thick. The taste was pretty good, and the texture was not too bad.
However, the reason for my rating is I prefer a standard-size cookie, not an excessively thick one, and this was very thick, and when it comes to chocolate chip cookies, semi-sweet chips, hands down (or at least a choice). Semi-sweet chips help offset the sweetness of the cookie itself. Milk chocolate just enhances the sweetness, IMO. I know, I know, cookies are supposed to be sweet, but I prefer the ability to not bite into a cookie and the sweetness overwhelms me; I rather enjoy the balance of a semi-sweet chocolate chip to the sweetness of the actual cookie. Also, I can't help but feel the gentleman working there was being a little snarky with his comment.
Honestly, I am an avid baker, so it is doubtful I will return anytime soon, but for those who want that "specialty" cookie(s) and don't mind a price tag to go along with that, then Crumbl Cookie would be probably be up your ally, overall it was a pretty decent cookie!
Crumbl Cookies is located in The Trails in Silverdale, Washington. 11196 Pacific Crest Pl Suit D, Silverdale, Washington. So as you enter The Trails off Greaves Way, immediately turn left. They are located next to T-Mobile.
There is plenty of parking in that area and many other stores and restaurants to check out, such as DSW, Marshalls, Home Good Store, MOD Pizza, and more!

Read moreAbsolutely abysmal customer service. I doordash here often. I don't know what the policy is but there is hardly ever a greeting when you come in. Especially from the two working tonight. Both made eye contact with me several times before they even asked why I was there. Didn't greet a single customer that came in after me. They act like its painful to talk to customers or at least certain ones. I was there for close to 15+ mins before getting the cookies. They made a doordash order for someone who wasn't even there before they made mine, whose driver didnt even show up until after half the time I was there went by. This person ended up being asked what they were there for much quicker than I was for some reason. This is not the first time that I've had to wait for an order like this. There should be some priority for people who show up, at least for deliveries. But the employees would have to at least improve their customer service first to find out why people are there. I had to rush to drop off because of this delay and was much later than I would've/should've been. I honestly will prob ignore orders from here in the future, its not worth it unless...
Read moreMy wife and I came in for a late night snack, and we were the only customers in the store when we ordered. Didn’t even acknowledge our existence, and when I asked how their night was going. I was glanced at, ignored, and it felt as if I was annoying them just by being in there. My last experience at the store was also bad, by giving me undercooked/raw cookies. When asked if I could double check the cookies before I left this time, again I was met with annoyance and agitation. An excuse of “that’s how they’re made,” is the worst customer service I have ever had.
UPDATE The manager from the Silverdale location, was kind enough to follow up with our complaint. Not only did she apologize, she personally delivered rebaked cookies to our doorstep. I will happily change my original review, just because of the kindness she gave...
