A cozy little mexican place. The best way to think about it is a better version of chipotle. The burritos are the size that Chiptole used to be (massive!), with a few alternative toppings (broken chips). The staff members were very polite and pleasant, the food was excellent as well. Especially for the price range! A burrito as of 2024, March, cost 10 dollars. Even with tax and tip that still puts the price well below the average DC lunch cost of 15+. If I would change anything, I would like the tortillas to be cooked a little more. I usually like mine a bit toasted. But this is an excellent shop, regardless of my preferences. I would range this at 4 stars, personally, but I don't think that good shops deserve to have their star rating lowered with a positive review. And I am usually picky with my five stars.

We had such a great experience at Dos Toros Taqueria in DC! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming and the service was friendly and fast. We tried both a burrito and a bowl — and honestly, they were next level. The burrito was perfectly wrapped, generously filled, and bursting with flavor. Every bite had the perfect balance of fresh ingredients, savory meats, and just the right kick of spice. The bowl was equally impressive — hearty, colorful, and super satisfying. You can really taste the quality and care they put into every ingredient. Whether you’re a burrito purist or a bowl lover, Dos Toros hits the mark. We’ll definitely be back — this might just be our new favorite spot for fast-casual Mexican food in DC! 🌯🔥🥗

I have not been one to try mexican food, but due to influence from tiktok I decided to give them a try, especially with the backlash of Chipotle recently. I can confirm that they do not hesitate when making your order, and I cannot believe how delicious the food is here. Everything is flavorful and fresh, and for a good price. They have a new regular.

I’m being very honest with this review and I hope you all will understand. I was excited about this place. Me and my friend were ready to dine here. We walked in and was greeted right away. The customer service was great and everyone was nice and polite. When it comes to the food such a disappointment. Unfortunately the food was very bland and was not enjoyable to us much at all.

1, the queso was not hot enough and had a gritty texture. 2, i don’t know who taught them how to make quesadillas because that is not how it’s done. I’ve never seen a quesadilla cooked on the hot top and then taken off and put all the toppings on it and then they just fold it like that and wrap it in aluminum foil and don’t even cut it, it looked like a burrito just flat. 3 Guacamole was so bland, even putting salt or pepper on It was not going to help it. It seems like all they did was mash up avocados and add the onions, tomatoes and everything else. 4, The braised chicken did not look appealing at all, i saw the employee put it on a taco and it was nothing but fatty chicken and who wants to bite into that with trying to enjoy their 🌮. 5, last bit not least I went with the tacos with the cubed chicken, they put way to much stuff on the corn taco…which does not hold the taco together. If you’re gonna put that much toppings on a taco and someone didn’t ask for extra, you might want to double the corn tortilla or put a little of everything on it , so it at-least holds everything in there but unfortunately Everything was falling out of my taco with one bite, and I just threw the whole thing down on the plate and used the fork to cut it up to try to eat it like that with the tortilla chips. From this review the only thing that I really truly enjoyed was the Root Beer. The way the economy is, this was not worth the money to spend this evening, and we were very unhappy. Hope things will change later on down the road with this place, but at the moment I will not...

I spent a long time in San Francisco Mission District happily eating mission style burritos for a good number of years. So I’m a tough customer, not like some of the other reviewers here who give this place five stars because they say it’s better than Chipotle . I’m sorry people, but you cannot say the food is good because it’s better than chipotle. Chipotle sucks. I would have to say that the burritos at this place are maybe 6 or 7 out of 10. Not horrible, not really really bad, but certainly not great. First, they don’t steam the tortilla. If you’re not gonna steam the tortilla, you have to put it on the grill after you make the burrito. Otherwise, it’s cold and gummy at the foldy parts. Secondly, they don’t have sour cream and that’s kind of a standard add on for a proper burrito. Third the pico de gallo is too dry and it needs more onion and lime and salt. But the chips are good. Anyway, it’s a nice place. If you don’t feel like a proper sit down restaurant, and you want something kind of fast and you want Mexican, and you are in the neighborhood,...

I truly appreciate this location, especially after experiencing the mediocrity of others. This store consistently upholds my expectations, setting the bar high in both quality and service. The staff here pays attention to every detail, ensuring my orders are always accurate and prepared with care—a stark contrast to the inconsistency I’ve encountered elsewhere.

What stands out most is the genuine effort this team puts into creating a seamless and pleasant experience. Whether it’s the freshness of the food, the speed of service, or the professionalism of the staff, this location excels in every category. It’s not just a place to grab a meal—it’s a place that reminds me why I’ve remained a loyal Dos Toros customer in the first place.

I’ve learned my lesson: no other location compares. This store has earned my trust and loyalty, and I genuinely won’t eat anywhere else. To the team here, thank you for consistently getting it right. You’ve set a standard that’s hard to match, and I’m grateful for the excellent experience every...
